Where do I begin. From Thursday to Monday I visited the pig 3x. And had quite the experience everytime. Tuesday: We had 2 seperate orders. The were not very busy. Maybe 4 other cars. The carhop came out as soon as we pulled up and we told her needed just a moment. She came back 10mins later and took our order. When we got our food we had to ask for extra sauce for our thriple combinations. We waited over 5mins for it and our change. No big deal. We tipped our carhop. Thursday: We had 3 seperate orders. We did have to honk for service this time. Our server took our order and we asked her to repeat it because this particular server often gets orders wrong. It was correct. When we got our food 25mins later we were missing our extra sauce. My order was only an order of crispitos (they are so yummy). Well since it was the only thing I got and there was only 1.5 not 2 I did send it back and would wait for it to be fixed. After 10mins of waiting we look over to see our carhop with her bag, smoking and getting into a vehicle to leave.... really. Couldnt fix my order. But from the looks of it our server had just walked out on them. Not really sure. So we asked another server to please check on my mess up. 5mins later my 2 crispitos finally show up. Spent prolly 45mins getting everything. Monday: Today is memorial day. I understand the town had a power outage and it was super busy. But wow what a sh!+ show. We had 3 seperate orders. We waited over an hour for our server to acknowledge our food was coming. We got our orders one at a time. The first was a triple combination, a side and crispitos with a soda. She had to ask for her drink and the extra hot sauce that she originally asked for. Got the drink and no sauce. The second order came. Chicken sandwich, fried green beans and 2 crispitos no cheese sauce. They brought her drink and my drink. They asked what my order was and I told her again. Chicken sandwich, mushrooms and crispitos. She told me they took the mushrooms off because they didnt have any. I wanted a different side but she was gone in a hurry. She brought me my food with my change and the second orders cheese sauce. When then the second order bit into her fried chicken sandwich it was still raw. So she brought it to the managers attention. The manager said what do you mean it's wrong? NO. IT'S RAW. So the manager apologized and said give us 4mins and they will fix it. 15mins later she received her new sandwich and an extra sode of tots just because (?) and the first orders hot sauce . Honestly a refund would of been preferred because she got sick off of the first sandwich. So all together our time at the pig was an hour and 20mins. We noticed serveral other cars leave after waiting an hour. Serveral patio guests sitting in the hot sun and missing items. Just a mess this morning. Wont be back for...
Read moreMy husband, my son, and I had went to The Pig BBQ for our first time yesterday evening. I have heard so many great things about their food, and BBQ is my favorite! We pull up, and decided we were going to go in and eat instead of eating in the car. We walk in, seat ourselves and were greeted by a very friendly waitress. Ordered drinks, but had to go up to the counter and ask for a straw. Our waitress apologizes from a different room. We look at the menu, my son gets a kids meal, my husband get the Whole Lotta Cheese burger, and I get the Minced Meat sandwich. We ordered fried pickles as our appetizer. Our appetizer was brought out the same time as our food. My husbands burger has ONE slice of cheese, NOT a whole Lotta cheese as it was described on the menu, no lettuce, tom, ketchup, mustard, NOTHING but one slice of cheese (not even melted) and 2 slices of bacon. My baked beans were ice cold, and you could tell that they were out of a can. My sons fries were cold and hard as a rock. We had absolutely no service. We werent able to even get our drinks filled once. The ONLY reason why i am not giving this place 1 star (0 if I could) is because my Minced Meat sandwich was the best BBQ I have ever had, WONDERFUL! And the fried pickles were the best ever too! So, I would recommend not going inside to eat if you want service, and not ordering anything other than fried pickles and BBQ. I will not be coming back, unless it's only for that sandwich and fried pickles. We were planning on getting some dessert, but decided to go to the Dairy Bar to get away from...
Read moreIt was our first time down that way to visit Castor Shut-Ins and passed this little place on the way. We love trying new local places wherever we travel so we decided to stop on the way home. As we dined outside with my 2 pups the owner Deborah (sorry if spelling is incorrect) came over to say hi and just chatted with us for a while and it was such a delight. It was almost as if we had known her for years. Everyone there was super sweet, service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately when we were getting ready to leave our car wouldn’t start. Deborah went and got her portable jump starters since we somehow didn’t have our cables in the new vehicle. She tried everything to help us get it running again. Even a local who parked next to us after some attempts got his cables out and tried his truck. She even got on the phone to her husband and ran home to get the newest portable charger. Once we decided jumping the battery wasn’t working she recommended and called the local tow company that they’ve used in the past. Take in mind it was after 7 pm on a Sunday. This company D&D towing came very quickly and was amazing. He figured out the problem and got us going quickly. After that Miss Deborah also offered and made my mom and I 2 sandwiches each and a drink for the road, no charge since we were there for a couple hours longer than expected and still had a 3 hour drive home!! I cannot give her and them high...
