McDonald's — Restaurant in Junction

To be quite honest, the reason that I stop at this McDonald's (when traveling between Southern Arizona and the Gulf Coast) is because it's convenient - fuel and food in one stop and the motel is just up the road.

The customer service here is lackluster, at best - the franchisee REALLY needs to spend a few unannounced days (at varying times of the day and night) observing the crew and speaking with customers.

The food is standard assembly line McDonald's ...either you like McDonald's or you don't.

Here's the issue. As I'm placing the order, the cashier/order-taker has that blank look on her (or whatever personal pronoun is preferred) face. You know what I'm talking about - that completely expressionless, no motivation, no thought, non-engaging brain, that can't wait to pull the phone out of the back pocket, to reply to message with a string of emoji's and cliches. Ugh.

As the order placement was completed and the purchase was paid for, with cash, she just dumped the change in my hand. Okay, I know it's a stretch, expecting people to greet you with a smile, a cheerful disposition, and being able to count back change, but obviously that's asking way too much. Nope, just a blank stare, no response, and a clump of change dumped in my hand. This was my fourth visit to a McDonald's since the whole COVID-19 panic began - I wasn't impressed. I'll be traveling this I-10 route three more times in the next couple of months. Unfortunately, this McDonald's will be bypassed.

This is a McDonald's that is in TimeWise in junction Texas the only problem with them that I have found is because their hours are different they used to open at 5:00 a.m. but now it was 6:00 a.m. even though the employee did say that they might start opening back up at 5:00 a.m. so if you're in junction just make sure you get there around 6:00 I would say in the morning .... Mainly when I stop at McDonald's it will always be for breakfast and I get there McGriddle or to Mc muffin and it's always been fixed just about the same way the employees are friendly....... Do take note about the mask most of their employees wear the mask and they do have the stickers on the floor 6 ft apart but that's up to you and your discretion.. about the mask ....I carry one in my pocket just in case so there is no problem... As far as I can see on my route McDonald's and Taco Bell has been the cheapest place to eat but I did notice that some of the McDonald's has went up on some of their prices because now they're paying their employees $16 an hour but still take note this is in New Mexico and Arizona...... So this particular McDonald's I like it and I usually stop there every chance on the way out or the way in for breakfast...... Have a good day be blessed and happy eating wherever you go..... A) I don't know on who's behalf it is to clean the premises but it needs to be cleaned. It is a disgrace to walk onto that property. It is very popular so I would expect this property to be clean.

B) Again, I don't know on who's behalf it is to clean the restrooms, but those too need to be cleaned. If they're not cleaned you'll have a ugly scent that will be driving away your customers. There already was a scent which made me feel uncomfortable.

C) The tables and chairs need to be cleaned at this point. The floor definitely needs to be swept and mopped. No one should have to write this which is a shame.

D) I noticed one employee talking when this employee could have been cleaning up instead. There was really only one employee that I could say was really doing his job.

E) Overall, I do not recommend stopping here. If you have to stop, stop before you arrive to this location, and or stop in the next town over. No...
