I'd seen "The 1850's Inn" (bar & grill/restaurant) posted on Facebook & have wanted to checkout for quite sometime. My brother; who's from outta town... was is in the area. We decided to meet & catch up with each other over lunch, & dine in at The 1850's Inn. When we arrived, I was immediately impressed by how clean, neat, & organized the establishment was.. as well as how pleasant the vibe & atmosphere felt. When we sat down, we were welcomed by the friendliest & most helpful management & staff you could ever hope for. The owner, Christina was so friendly & helpful assisting us with deciding on what to try for lunch. I went with the grilled chicken sandwich, which was made to order, & allowed for choice of being served on a kaiser roll, or sourdough bread. Next, your choice of toppings, sauces, & extras; It also came with a side, a choice of house fries(lightly seasoned fries...) or tater tots. I went with the grilled chicken on lightly toasted sourdough bread, with lettuce, tomato, & bacon, with mayo on the side.. & seasoned house fries. It was not only perfectly cooked & delicious, but it was also visually picture perfect in appearance! I highly recommend.!! It was prepared, cooked, & served to us by a gentleman named Javier Gomez. We chose to dine & eat at the bar, rather than their table seating. So not only was there good food, there was also the great company & time spent chatting with Christina & Javier. They were truly friendly, & hospitable, & gave us great conversation... so, thank you both! Well, this is my first time writing a review... I Highly, Highly recommend The 1850's Inn. And, I can't wait to return to experience the atmosphere, the good company, & more of their menu! *5-Stars across the...
Read moreWe go through Juneau often enough but how is it that we never noticed that this establishment existed? On our way through town yesterday, the place caught our eye, so my Wife and I stopped in. What a great decision! We grabbed barstools on the end of the bar near the grill. The gentleman doing the cooking immediately introduced himself and got us our first round of drinks. He introduced himself as Javier and welcomed us to the place. He gave us an overview of the kitchen equipment and told the story of how the place went through a lot of renovation over the past year. We could tell that he was very proud of the equipment and how they are set up to give the customer a great experience. Another polite young man sitting next to me joined the conversation and it turns out that he and Javier and Brother's and he also works at 1850. Both of these guys have the same pride when they talk about the place. Great visit, great food, great staff. Put it on you list of places to visit. It's now on our list of places...
Read moreCame here to try the Gyros as it was said to be one of the better ones in our area. Wasn’t to busy, maybe 10 people in the bar. Got our drinks, then was told the menu is online and that you place your order right from there. Ordering from online was nothing but a pain when all you want is some food to dine in. Sat and waited for almost a hour to get our food which was simply two gyros no sides… food was good, service was ok. Would hope that your dine in customers that have been waiting awhile would get served before pick up ones that came in after theirs. No a great experience for a new customer to...
