Waffle House — Restaurant in Kannapolis

I was at Waffle House south cannon Kannapolis on 2 separate occasions 1st time I’m on line for 20 minutes with 1 year old in arms and I get to the register and the girl says “Sorry sir we aren’t taking anymore to go orders.” She handed people togo orders as she’s telling me this. I call corporate speak to division manager ashley Davis I believe he apologizes tells me he will send a gift card. It never comes in the mail . I go back the day after Christmas and again standing in line for about 20 minutes baby in arms. I’m standing at the register. They are fully staffed it’s not incredibly busy. Employees are looking at me no one ever says anything. I look at them they look at me and keep walking. 2 guys behind me sit at the bar as a girl cleans it off and she says would u like to place a Togo order? I’m thinking are u serious? Mind you I always tip about 5 or 6 dollars when I place a Togo order so if they are thinking they wouldn’t get a tip from me they are wrong. I call Ashley Davis division manager once again I let him know what happened this time. I also informed him I never received my first gift card. He says oh I told corporate to send it out. Low and behold I never received anything and honestly that’s not why I complained. I just wanted to order my food get it tip and go home and eat it. I see upper management is just as bad as lower level at this point and I will not return. I want nothing from them but for them to learn that you don’t treat paying tipping customers like this and you don’t tell someone that u will do something and don’t do it. I’m a nurse supervisor and this type of behavior is unacceptable when dealing with the public. I also have 10 years restaurant exp so I know what excellent service is. Update! Ashley Davis division manager is a complete liar. 2 times the dude told me he was sending me gift cards and he never did. Not a man of his word. I didn't ask for it...

Absolutely the worst waffle house I’ve ever been to in my entire life. The server seemed pretty nice and I guess she forgot to say Togo to the cook and he was giving her a hard time about it and I could hear her repeating it was a accident cause he was arguing with her about it . so we go to Eat the food that I just paid 27 something for and are eggs were over cooked. Our bacon wasn’t cooked all the way and it smelled really funny like it was old hashbrowns were good and the toast was white and I asked for wheat the waffle powder wasn’t fully mixed up and the bite that was taken it of it popped a bubble of powder out of it and when we went to bring it back to get the money back because we couldn’t eat it and the smell was so bad we had to get it out of our car we couldn’t take the smell any more there was barely any missing of the hashbrowns in a little bit of the waffle, because the rest was not cooked right in the bacon smelt Funny so we paid card so we had to come back the next day for the refund cause no one picks the phone up and they couldn’t refund it without a manager so the manager who insisted that we ate almost all of the food that we definitely did not and wanted to argue and debate on the food because supposedly the girl left it out for them to see the next day, which is pretty disgusting either way, but we definitely didn’t eat but a bite of some hashbrowns and a bite of the waffle before we had to return it because we couldn’t eat it and it smelled very old, so be careful going here. I would just go down a few more miles to the other waffle house that has way better reviews and it makes sense why there was no one there when we ordered and there was no one there when we came back to...

How do u get TOAST WRONG??. Then have a fxn attitude when I look at my food before I walked out. I knew it was wrong... I ordered online while in the place. They seemed busy with 1 other fxn customer lol.. then had to nerve to tell me it cost more. When actually it didn't because why tf would I tip the server on a to go order an added 20% lol 🙄 I said I'm not worried about 50cen she say I am I'm broke.. well that's apparent. I tip in cash after I receive my food. But geesh this lady acted like it was a bother she didn't get a tip on a togo order.. maybe if you would acted like u liked your job and I didn't hear you complaining about everything including customers Or even acknowledged the fact YOU FCKD UP TOAST u would of got a tip.. she put apple butter in the bag ewwhh. I asked for jelly that seemsed to be issue too... wasn't expecting much walking in.. but ridiculous horrible service... weird place. Never again.. if you don't like your job or the pay then find another one.

Update Oh funny ran into another truck driver in the pilot across the street that was in there when I was in there.

apparently when I left she was talking shyt... now I would wrong if I caught her outside and whooped her crackheaded ssa... that why u struggling waiting tables at a waffle House in your late 40s trash bytch. exact reason I didn't give her the 2 dollar tip she wanted sooo bad.. I bet u live in a trailer park .. GET SOME BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS MAYBE YOU WOULD MAKE BETTER...
