I want to like this place and have frequented several times over the course of 5 years. Service has always been hit or miss. Consistently the bar tenders are much faster and more friendly than the wait staff. Got a table around 6pm on a Tuesday. (The following list of wait times is NOT exaggerated).

Waited 20 minutes for a pitcher and was brought a single beer. Was charged for this beer at full price instead of happy hour price. Waited another 10 for an extra glass. Waited another 10 for our order to be taken. Still no apology or explanation for the wait time. Absolutely zero sense of urgency or desire to check on us from our server. She avoided eye contact several, several times.

After waiting 15 for our second pitcher, for which we had to walk to the server to request, we decided to leave. No apology from server or manager on duty. Seemed possible they were slightly understaffed, and maybe she was just having a bad day? Either way, this was overwhelmingly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. She did rush over to make sure we were going to pay our tab though (which we did at the bar). She at least cared about her tip :) And when I said we already tabbed out, thanks for checking, she provided a lovely bit of lip as she walked off despite the fact that we had been respectful, polite, and patient. We meet every December when good friends come in for Christmas to get together and have fun and get caught up. We decided to do this 6 years ago because we knew we weren't getting any younger and if we did wait we would be getting together at Funerals. I picked Brass Rail for many reasons. ALWAYS the food is EXCELLENT (LOVE THE FRIED PICKLES) and the staff is friendly and very good at what they do remembering peoples order. The food comes out fast and the drinks are always good (LOVE THE SWEET TEA ALSO). Usually we have about 20 or so people, well this year we had a Retirement to celebrate and I called in advance to reserve an area for about 50 people. I talked to Zack the manager and he gave us the area that use to have pool tables but now has comfortable retro chairs and tables and just awesome new decor. I also got to talk to the owner when I was setting up the decorations. I told him that people always complain and customer service is a thing of the past and I wanted to let him know that we have been pleased every time we have been to his business. The customer service is awesome and the food is amazing. I personally wanted to let him know this and he said they tried very hard to have a great place for people to come. Well I am here to tell you that it shows. Our waitress had over 50 people to help, serve food and get drinks for and she did an amazing job. The managers came out and introduced themselves to say if we needed anything just to let them know. If I could give Brass Rail 10 STARS, I definitely would. Keep up the good work.....WE WILL...
