Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Kansas City

Although I have left a previous "less than stellar" review, the experience (this evening), warrants an encore...

Church's Chicken franchise on Prospect Avenue, is (indeed) the perfect take-out business, if one doesn't mind predatory indigents, leaning on your car, while pointing at the menu items, they want you to purchase, for their dinner.....

Or, the posting of the promotional meals, on the building's "payment-window" side, after one has ordered chicken, at full price....

The clerk could not cancel my 23.00 order for 12 pieces of legs/thighs, to re-order the 10 piece promo, at 12.99.... Ergo, I paid 10.00 more, for the two additional pieces, of chicken... It must be difficult, to hire staff.....

Example, given: I am a Vegetarian; however, my dogs like fried chicken... My bank statement tallied (from Prospect's Church's Chicken) a total of 185.00, for November....

Each subsequent November trip, was worse, than previous one; be it the bums, the dirty kitchen floor, the lackluster cashiers, or the chicken count..... My doggos don't care---they want the chicken..... And, although they prefer the crunchy Church's Chicken recipe, they will be changing cuisine, to Kentucky Fried Chicken....

Not meaning to "talk trash;" this location is in a dicey part of town, and the Police can't live there----chasing food-thugs.... Food is "alright...." However, the experience is simply too unpleasant, to continue patronage.....

The franchises in NKC, Grandview, and Independence are just fine...... One (almost) feels sorry, for Prospect...

The drive thru is extremely slow. I and my friend went last night. Repeated my order twice at the menu, got to the window and he tried to charge me $18.06 for someone else's order. He said they can only take one order at the menu. How can I say it twice and u still don't have it?! Then we sat for 6 minutes before he even gave us our drink. So I ask the manager Manolo for a complimentary drink, he charged me for it! How can u charge me (which is an order) if u can only have one order in drive thru? U can charge me for something I wanted free, but couldn't take my original order for what I was willing to pay? The customer service is a crock, the management is ridiculous and they are a sad excuse for a business! This review is coming from someone who has been in customer service for 13 years. Started as a cashier, became a manager in 8 months!!

I had to change this review cause after I wrote it I noticed the address..55th prospect, while waiting on chicken a mice ran out where customers were ordering! I was screaming call I'm scared to death of them gray brothers (mice)I was trapped from running out the door I think my yelling scared everyone even the dang mice. I ran under something i then had a clear path to the door I ran out never visited this location again. I know all restaurants probably have rats & mice but when the customers see them not a place i need to be eatting from. Yulk..they need pest control. Sorry Churches who's to say those gray brothers not swimming in the cold grease at night? Just food...
