This place is always understaffed. Have to wait to be acknowledged, seated, waited on, etc. Hamburger was pre-frozen and tasted like it was made with cheapest meat a year ago and then warmed up in microwave. Terrible. The fries were old. Chicken fried steak was overcooked by at least 10 minutes. The onion rings were grease saturated. Seemed as though the fryer was not up to temp when they were dropped.
Overall, was terrible. Waitress, Taylor, was horrible as well. She ignored us. She didn't check on us. I will say the busboy, who was providing amazing service, was the absolute best. He checked on us. He got us fresh fries. He was the only one providing outstanding service. We tipped the busboy $5. My recommendation is to pass on this place!
Another Experience on 8/30/22 at 9:50 pm: I ordered a deconstructed club sandwich bc I was taking it home to my husband. I received the cheese, bread, lettuce, meat, and bacon all in the same container. The bread was already beginning to get soggy. When I asked the MOD about it, he stated he was sorry it should not have come out that way. He did not offer to replace it. And the mayo was missing. So, I got another container and did it all my self. Quality of the cheese & meat could be said to be less than school lunch quality. When I looked at my chicken caesar salad, there was no parmesan cheese. I rechecked the menu and yes it states it should be there. The manager brings me ground up parmesan cheese which is NOT what I have ever been served on a caesar salad. I am tired and it is late, so I leave. I ate the salad within the next 20 minutes. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked for 400 hours......very tough, very dry. I give up. This place isn't even acceptable if the meal is free. So...
Read moreVisited here on a Saturday and used my $20 dining credits. Overall, the price of things are definitely steep. The menu is relatively small. The food was really delicious and I have zero complaints with that. But the best thing was the wonderful lady that took care of me and my order - she was seriously so nice! It was a breathe of fresh air to actually have a customer service interaction with someone that was so pleasant.
I was happy that Marquee had a decent variety of options in this price point and had some other ala carte items that made up the full $20. The menu on the Penn Play app and the physical menu in the restaurant are slightly different with the physical menu showing a few more selections. This is annoying not having the same information in both locations. Also, you still cannot order via the app if you want to pay with dining credits. I was told by Penn themselves that this is not live yet Hollywood advertised it as such.
My order took less than 15 minutes (estimated time) and had condiments/silverware in the bag. I ended up reheating this for a later meal and it was honestly so delicious. The chicken and waffle meal (with breakfast potatoes) was way better than I expected and would order it again if...
Read moreEating steak here is a gamble, much like the slot machines and table games in the casino floor. Sometimes, it is excellent but other times, it is either salty or overcooked. My steak was excellent last week and perfectly cooked. This week, it was cooked perfectly but extremely salty. I tried to eat it anyway because what else can they do with a salty steak? We asked the waiter and he was adamant that there was no seasoning. When does the excellent chef work? I don't know, you'll have to take a gamble on that. We took the leftovers home and had to rinse it in order to make it palatable. It was an unpleasant experience this time but it is normally great. They did give us ice cream, possibly to help rinse the salt out.
Edited to add - the juice cups got smaller. Also, the chicken wings are nice and crispy. Clam chowder and gumbo...
