Never on Sunday Greek Restaurant — Restaurant in Kansas City

My husband and I decided we wanted a Gyro but didn't want to eat at the same spots. We wanted something new and different. We searched Google and came across this place. So we placed an order for carry out and headed on over. Come along, let's discuss how the visit went.

The young woman who took our order and assisted during pick up was Solvia (probably not spelling that right) and she was very sweet. She made suggestions and shared that their Tzatziki Sauce was excellent. Well, you know me I love my sauces and dips so I was like I'll take two for each order.

Pick up was a breeze and she graciously allowed me to take pictures and videos which, for me, is always a plus so I can accurately share the experience with y'all. I was excited to get home and crack the To-Go box open to see what was up with the food.

Let me tell y'all what!!! If you want a juicy, fresh and delicious Gyro it's imperative that you get yourself over here immediately. I ordered the Chicken Gyro and my husband ordered the Traditional Gyro. It looked so good I almost forgot to get pictures. I couldn't catch my "greedy man" fast enough and he was almost done with his when I tried to give his food a photo op. 😆😅🤣😂 Maybe next time.

The Tzatziki sauce was 🔥 and a perfect compliment to the sandwiches. My husband agreed. We both decided this was our first time visiting but it wouldn't be our last.

The restaurant was clean and well maintained. They have a large TV to watch sports or whatever you'd like I suppose. There's plenty of parking so that's not a hassle at all. The prices are reasonable and I thought we got a great value for our money. Customer service was friendly, helpful and welcoming.

I might try something different next time but that Gyro was so good it'll be a stretch to get out of my comfort zone. Hey, all I have left to say is if a Gyro is on your mind don't waste time and get yo'self right on over here. You'll be glad you did. I don't steer you wrong. Until next...

So I'm very selective with restaurants I go to. I live very close to never on Sunday and I like Greek food but for some reason it took me a few months to actually give it a try. Bad desicion. The restaurant is old, it's not exciting, it's boring and it's dirty. I came and not seeing any costumers made me remember why it took me so long to come here. I ordered, I sat and had to clean the table myself because there were crumbs and food, no biggie. Then I took a closer look to the place and noticed that it seemed that they hadn't swept in a while, there was food in the floor, there were stains on the walls, the chairs and tables looked old. Then I realized that it definitely wasn't a good a idea to try never on Sunday. Then while still waiting I hear a microwave beeping, which makes me thing that they use it to heat up the food, at this point all my expectations were really low. I figured the food wasn't going to be good, I was right. When they brought my food I noticed that they use foam plates, cups and plastic forks ad knifes. Seriously? I'm eating here! I'm not taking this anywhere else. And yes, it was microwaved, probably the entire meal. The meat was old, the tomatoes weren't fresh and the pita tasted funny all these while eating off of foam plate. I didn't finish my meal and left. I don't know how this place is rated 4.4. Believe me, it's not worth...

We have been coming here for years and I am truly saddened to write this. We ordered in advance for pickup tonight. It took longer than expected for the order to be prepared. And when it was, it was incomplete. We noticed this before we left and brought it to the attention of the young woman behind the counter instead of looking into it clearly, she started to dispute my claim that the entrees that we ordered did not come with a salad. It took 20 minutes to make the salads. By the time we got to our destination all of the food was cold and the salad did not include dressing. We've been coming here for many reasons the delicious food being one, and the friendly service being the other. Sadly tonight's experience did not live up to the high bar that we have become...
