UPDATED REVIEW 09/23/2025 TACO JOHNS, YOU HAVE AMOTHER HIT IN YOUR HANDS WITH YOUR POTAOE BUN TACO BURGER. I herd about the TACO John's Taco Burger coming back with the Potatoe Bun so I tried it with Sour Cream and tomatoes added and it was delicious. I ordered it if my Taco Johns App so that my points would be added since I realized as of the above mentioned date the app will not let you add points. Back to their Taco Burger. It's a must try and pairs well with Potato Ole's added for extra crunch but even if you order 1 make sure to at least add the sour cream and diced tomatoes on it to make it beyond greatness. This TACO John's location gets a lot of flack but in all honesty if you go in there and let them know how you want your order made, the will make it right. The staff are friendly and it does get busy so I can see frustrations but if the food is being made fresh then I'm always willing to wait. I like their bean Burritos too with the onions and cheese and I wish Taco Johns would bring back their Taco Pizza because it was the best one around but their Taco Burger is a must try and I highly recommend it. I am willing to say the Potato Bun it comes on makes it stand out in a good memorable way and I hope it stays on the Menu Permanently. Thank You Taco John's for making my Taco Burger perfect and fresh. Keep up the good work and I'm glad Emporia has a Raco John's location even though it's only 5 miles away on the Turnpike. We'll worth the drive and I'll be coming soon for another one.

Well I have to say that Taco John's officially has a home run just in time for baseball season. It's their new Taco Pizza and when I ordered one, I was expecting something along the lines of a Taco Bell size pizza but this thing is huge,(like 4 times bigger), and way tastier. I love the combination of the corn wheat crust and when the Taco John lady brought it out to me, it was in its own medium sized Pizza Box so I right away knew this was the real deal. It only cost 9.99 but let me tell you it is well worth it and you better bring yo appetite to finish it or go half on it with a friend. It was piled high with lettuce, beans, beef, a very tasty sauce,tomatoes, cheese, and chips.I was more than impressed and believe that this Taco Pizza will shut all others down. I didn't die. This is probably the most positive thing that could be said about the nachos that I received. You're probably familiar with Taco Bell. This is NOT Taco Bell. I like TB. It has its place in the fast food chain. TB is incredibly upscale with gourmet delights compared to Taco John. I ordered their nachos. The chip base seemed to be a mix of stale and fried in old grease. These were topped with ground "beef", refried beans that were so dry as to be crumbly, somewhat mushy cubed tomatoes masquerading as pico, dollar store nacho cheese, an attempt at sour cream, some sad shreds of Mexican blend cheese, and, if canned guacamole is a thing, they found it. The best part of the nachos was likely the multiple packs of hot sauce I poured on in an attempt to make it edible. These nachos made me wish that I had purchased the gas station nachos complete with bag of chips and pump your own cheese and chili at the previous rest stop. Although my lunch stayed down, do yourself a favor. Stop anywhere...

Went through the drive thru issue 1. no one ever answered at the ordering box so we had to pull up to the window. Issue 2. you think ordering your food at the window speaking face to face with someone they wouldn't mess up your order but low and behold it happened and I didn't notice until we got our receipt. Issue 3. got a refund for 1st wrong order just for them to add steak to my husband's tacos and it came out as the same amount and I had to go inside for a 2nd time just to get the receipt saying we were refunded so I have proof for my bank if both transactions go through since we were charged the same amount twice. 1 positive there was a sweet older lady that was trying to help us through the mistake of another who gave me attitude when I asked for proof of my refund and my original receipt back. Super negative of it all is the food especially the potatoes were cold and tasted old as heck! Next time go into the gas station next door and grab some chips or something else if you...
