The Flamingo Club — Restaurant in Kansas

May, 2017. Generally no cover or hassle. Talent runs hot and cold. They reduced the number and frequency of lumberjack sized girls and fat ones, but they still turn up. (Never have got why a club would tolerate that.) It has changed with the new mgt from what the Bird once was like. Some is good, some not. The better dancers seem to be run off by mgt and that is also what a lot of girls say, too. You can tell when mgt is bagging on them as it carries into the performance area. Day time is best in the region, though, when in a stable period. Night time is younger girls, more immature in attitude. The remodel over the past few years has made it more pleasant to be in. Lunch really is good. Too many girls dance and then hide out in the back room even when it's busy, so a lot of times just tipping doesn't work to get one over to you. You have to go get them or ask very specifically, or so it appears. Even when you ask don't be surprised if they either forget or take 15 minutes to come back to you. Strange place in that sense. It's hard to have friendships with most girls as in the past when it had a more neighborhood feel because of high turnover or inconsistent dancers. Mgt tend to blame the girls and when you rate the place negatively they blame you or say you're hurting the girls. So independent opinions are important because they appear to also salt reviews. They claim high turnover is the nature of the business, and it is some, but that wasn't historically the case with this place in the past; but before the change talent had declined markedly. So from a looks standpoint that has improved a lot, but again, it's hot and cold and long term patrons will tell you not as friendly as in the past before new mgt took over. Don't take a pass on this place, though, as if it's not good that day, go somewhere else and come test it another time. Sound ratings with explanations will help them if they're smart, and if it doesn't, they simply will wither and die. Problems can be cured with feedback and even when cured can reappear or new ones arise, so ongoing fair comment is important. They have jacked up beer and drink prices, but I can't say I've seen watered down drinks. The girls don't push you which is good. I have lived almost my whole life in North Lawrence and never been to the Flamingo Club…..until recently. People talk about it….they say its poor, dirty…..ghetto…….and that was my impression. The interior was actually really nice. I was surprised. It inside is very “modern” looking, compared to the outside. The bartender was an older gentlemen, he seemed like a dick. However working at a strip club I imagine he has to deal with a lot of tipsy individuals. The girls were 6-7’s at best, but please take in mind I was there on a weekday afternoon. The last thing I will say is the bathrooms were very clean, so kudos to the staff for that.

I got to experience my first visit to a gentleman's club earlier this week and I'm so glad I went to the Flamingo! I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly wait staff and beautiful dancers. I spent my time there with Denver, a girl who is an absolute breath of fresh air. She's smart, funny, energetic, gorgeous and genuinely so fun to talk with! She even convinced me to watch a movie I was reluctant to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed it! She's all around a super cool chick that I'd happily visit again.
