I'm all about local and giving the mom and pop places a chance, and I was hoping the 4.5 stars meant we were going to have a tasty lunch. Unfortunately, it did not ring true.
We ordered the 1/2 a chicken with green beans and potato salad. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The dark meat tasted old and was inedible. The white meat was so dry that I had to soak it in bbq sauce and follow it with a big drink of tea to get it down. The green beans were floating in tomato juice and not something we enjoyed. The potato salad was probably the best thing on the plate, and it was store bought.

Read moreThey were out of everything but brisket when we showed up, that being said they had some amazing brisket and I could only wonder how good everything else was if they ran out midday and had to close early. The Cole slaw was delicious I normally hate that stuff but I couldn't get enough of it. The corn was also really good. Everything but the mac salad was amazing. The restaurant its self wasn't the nicest looked a little run down and old but id rather have gold food then a beautiful setting with bad food and service. I wish I lived closer will definitely have to go back next time I'm in the area ...
Read moreUnfortunately this place was some of the best BBQ about 10 years ago last time i came. Seems like there cutting back quality and stopped using the pits, you can tell because when i came here 10 years ago you would see smoke rising as you got closer. Not sure what happened but i would just hang it up if this was the way they have come from what they used to be. I'm from San Antonio so this was definitely not worth the trip for something that i remember being leaps and bounds from what it has become. RIP Partners cause in my eyes this...
