Let me say they have the best street tacos, but I’m going to still give them three stars for a couple of reasons: 1. If you buy three tacos, they only give you a half of a half lime and 1 small container of sauce. It’s not a mistake. They do it every single time. 2. I just bought chicken quesadillas. I asked the guy if it comes with pico. It seems he didn’t understands me so I asked if he can go get someone for me, then he suddenly said quesadilla. I said yes and then he said. As I was standing there waiting for my order, I notice he took a scoop of meat from this pan and placed on the grill. I took another glance notice that he was cooking precooked meat, which is concerning because I don’t know if that chicken was cooked the day before or not. I was under the impression the meat was cooked fresh to order. But I took my order home anyways. Got home and noticed that I didn’t get pico, sauce and lime. Plus the quesadilla was dry and the meat had two different colors: some was dark and some was light. So I didn’t finish my food and decided to not ever go back, not because of the missing items but because of how they serve their meat, which again is very concerning. Moving from Houston to Fulshear my wife and I figured we would miss great restaurants all the way from fine dining to taco trucks. We’ve been pleasantly surprised with a few spots out here and this taco truck in the HEB parking lot on FM 723 is definitely on the list.

The street tacos are authentic, tasty and fresh. Service is exemplary. Minutes after ordering flour tortillas I realized it was corn we meant to order. The gentleman happily amended our order and in fact added a couple extra tacos because he said flour tortillas which I paid for were more expensive than corn so he wanted to make sure we got our money’s worth. Update: This taqueria now has a physical restaurant on Mason Rd. Today, I tried the menudo, tripe taco, and a quesabirria. All these dishes hit the spot and are very satisfying.

Previous review: Taqueria Dame Mas is fantastic. I tried the Birria tacos for the first time, and this taco truck set the standard for what this taco should be! The meat was juicy and savory, and the consomé dipping juice was complex and flavorful. I would be back to try other tacos and dishes. And, oh, this taqueria is at a great location at the HEB parking lot. Go get excellent Mexican food and go grocery shopping, or go shopping and get excellent Mexican food. ...
