You guys treated me like dirt. All I did was ask for a cold brew with “light ice” and the woman who poured my drink mocked me after I saw her fill my cup all the way with ice and I asked for less. Then she intentionally poured less in my cup instead of filling it with cold brew to the top. For as much as this place charges for a 16oz cold brew ($7) you should get a full glass of coffee. You treated me like a total malihini when I did nothing to offend you. I never once got the feeling of any aloha spirit from this place and I was really looking forward to going here. I thought it looked cute and would have good vibes but there are so many other places that were far more welcoming. For better coffee and better vibes try Positive Coffee in Kapa’a, Wishing Well Coffee in Hanalei, or Ha Coffee in Lihue.
Look, it has been two years since this review was posted and you continue to stick with your lie. I can give you the number of the woman I was with at the time if you want to hear from a witness or she can leave a review herself, your choice. Your personal attack on my character is completely unwarranted. Even though I felt I was being mistreated I stayed polite. I was disappointed but I paid for your drink despite the treatment I received. I even tipped your cashier and complemented them in another post. You continue to try and slander another human being instead of taking responsibility for a bad experience your customer had. You can’t seem to admit you had one bad day two years ago and if that doesn’t say something I don’t know what else to write. You got a bad review, own it, discuss it with me, do anything but attack someone who felt slighted by your business. We can be...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but sadly it was a huge disappointment. They have great coffee, our chai latte was delicious but if you want food, don’t go here. I got an avacado toast and it was one of the worst avo toasts I’ve ever gotten. It was drenched in oil with a whole puddle of oil in my plate and the avocado soft and mushy with an olive oil taste. I have no idea how much it was but we paid $27 for bagel, latte, and avo toast so it must have been at least $15. The bagel we got was burnt, luckily my husband likes burnt bagels. We paid extra for pesto for the cream cheese and they just give it to you in separate container, I thought it would be a pesto cream cheese mixed together. We got a great pesto cream cheese at Ha Coffee the day before and that was way better.
I hate to leave a bad review but I just want to warn any others that may be considering this spot for food, sadly it was the worst decision in Kauai that we made. Only reason why it got 3 stars was because...
Read moreSunrise Coffee in Kauai is a solid spot to hit if you're in the mood for some good donuts. It's just a quick turn off Kuhio Highway, so watch your turn into the parking lot. Once you're in, you’ll find a food truck on the left serving coffee and breakfast, and a trailer on the right where they whip up made-to-order donuts.
The donuts here are really something—super soft and well-glazed, definitely a 10/10. We also tried a couple of coffee drinks—the Americano and S'mores Latte were both on point. The avocado toast was well-seasoned and hit the spot. I’ll be back to try their vanilla macadamia nut latte for sure.
The vibe was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and easy to chat with. The only downside was that the internet was down during our visit, so they were only accepting cash or Venmo. Just a heads up for anyone planning to stop by.
Overall, if you're looking for a chill place to grab some good food and coffee, Sunrise Coffee is worth...
