I have had a similarly poor experience at this location in five instances. Each time I placed an online order, I arrived at the location at or after the time the app said my food would be ready. I pull up to the drive-thru, and each time has been told, "Your food isn't ready, and you'll have to pull around, and we'll bring it out for you." What's the point of having a drive-thru if I can never use it? In one instance, I waited over ten minutes, and my food was still unready. I assumed they were waiting until I arrived to make the food because I could see them scrambling to make the food whenever I pulled around to the side. Yesterday was my final straw. I decided to place my online order and then go into the restaurant to wait. This time, I went in a few minutes before it was supposed to be ready. I was the only one in the restaurant besides the workers. A man was sitting on a bench playing on his phone, and everyone else appeared to be cleaning. I went to the counter to let them know I was there, and I was told I'd have to wait an additional ten minutes because I was too early. Was it too much trouble to drop whatever else they were doing to make my food? If someone had just walked off the street and placed an order in person, would they also have to wait? I told the worker this was unacceptable, that I wouldn't be staying, and that I would like to cancel my order. She referred me to the manager, the man sitting on the bench playing on his phone. I was still in front of the man and was completely ignored. I finally spoke up and told him I would like to cancel my order. There were no apologies for the past experiences, no explanation, and no attempt to fix my issue. He just angrily complied with my request. The sad thing is I got a refund and proceeded instead to Taco Bell, and my experience there was 10x better. Very disappointed with this location and their terrible...
Read moreI have been going to Cafe Rio for over 15 years and it has always been one of my go to places! I went there about 3 days ago and the food was TERRIBLE! I ordered my usual pork burrito, enchilada style. In the past, they had like four different sauces to choose from, this time there were only two. I though that this was weird but told them that I wanted the medium sauce then, which is what I always got in the past. I took my order home and that sauce TASTED LIKE STRAIGHT VINEGAR AND BASIL! I literally had to scrape it off just so I could stomach the rest of the burrito. I also got an order of chips and salsa, which usually comes with two different kinds of salsa. The pico de gallo tasted like water, no flavor at all, just water and the other one, that usually has a bit more heat to it and is darker and delicious tasted like dirty sink water, I literally had to spit it out. If this is the new normal for the rest of the Cafe Rios, guess I'll be finding somewhere else to eat at because this...
Read moreOrdered two meals from here online when I showed probably 35 minutes before closing I was told they canceled one of meals because they were out of the meat I wanted. When I said I could wait I was informed after some stumbling of their words that they are not cooking anymore because they already started cleaning the grill. They wouldn't let me order anything else as it was "to late". They were extremely rude and unprofessional as somebody who has worked in customer service for 10 years I was appauled I was being treated like that. If I talked like that to my customers at my job I would be fired. The one meal that did actually make it home was subpar, there was barley any meat in the bowl it was mostly black beans and they didnt include the dressing that was ordered, over all this experience was a complete disappointment. I will not be giving this location anymore of my business or money. I would rather drive to Costa Vida down the street or the cafe rio in...
