This was the first time in a couple years, my wife and I had visited. The food was good and the portions were large. I had the fried pickles as an appetizer and a "Champion" grinder, both were excellent. I brought half my grinder home for lunch tomorrow. My wife had the fried portobello mushroom appetizer with the garlic chicken wrap, and fries on the side. She was happy and full when we left. It was a pleasant experience and will return. Some might consider the prices a little expensive, but I didn't find them out of the ordinary. I would and will suggest friends to give The Shady Nook a try.

We ordered a half club grinder, fried green beans, a half prime grinder, waffle fries, and drinks. Everything was delicious. (It was too much food). They had cider boys pineapple 🍍 hula on tap. I was excited to see that! They also had live music tonight. I miss live music, so that was icing on the cake!

Best place around for great food and a night out. Every time we stop in, the people are amazing, the food is ALWAYS perfect. I love the chicken bacon ranch wrap. My friends like the fish. Thanks for the extra chips, and I can’t wait to go back again.

I'm giving this a 2 star solely on the fact that we had a previous experience here and it went well. Assuming that evening went so much better because we were with many "regulars" while tonight we were unfamiliar faces.

When we (3) walked in, the place was packed! Awesome! I'm glad to see a small business succeed! We knew it would probably take a bit for our food, but we are understanding when it's super busy. But we had no idea we would be there for TWO HOURS due to waiting on our food.

The waitress was not the friendliest to begin with, but again, slammed busy. When she brought us out drinks, I placed an order for jalapeno bites. It was about a half hour before she came back to take our food order. Approximately another 15 minutes after that when our appetizer came out, about 45 minutes after ordering them.

We waited and waited on our food as the dining room cleared out. After an hour and a half since we walked in the door, we requested our waitress, who was at the bar taking shots, check on our food since it had been an hour and a half. She said nothing to us and seemingly inconvenienced went back to the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, our food finally arrived at our table.

The food was decent. The waitress did check on us one time to see how the food was. She never apologized for the wait, never cleared our plates, never offered a box for the leftover pizza, never offered a discount for the inconvenience... She just sat our checks down and walked away.

After getting our cards out, she stood at our table as we paid since they take payments via handheld. She didn't make small talk, didn't apologize or even actually say anything to us. My mom asked for a box, she brought it and walked away.

In total, we ordered a jalapeno popper appetizer, chicken wings, a wrap and a small pizza and it took 2 hours total just to eat dinner. The food was decent, but the way we were treated was horrible, especially when we were nothing but polite and understanding until it just became clear that our order was missed or something. Even after all that we still tried to be polite, and they made it seem that we inconvenienced them by spending close to $100 at their...

Sadly, will not be returning. Third time in the past year with a poor expereince. It seams the service and food quality has really deteriorated. Prior to this, food was always good/consistant and service was always spot-on. Ordered a 'thick-crust' pizza last night and a thin-crust was delivered; server contended it was a thick crust, but once my father-in-law's pizza was brought out it was clearly a thin crust. Server offered to remake it, but I declined due to time waiting. She was clearly inconvenienced by my observation/comment- she sould have ordered another pizza and brought it out instead of asking. I then was on my second piece and noticed the crust was burned. Server said she would take the pizza off the bill, but then credited only 50%- even though I returned half of the pie. First beer ordered took 20 minutes to serve; server claimed to have issues with the tap. Second beer was ordered and my wife reminded the server of my order after waiting another 15 minutes. Server was insincere and unapologetic of the burnt/thin pizza and lengthy wait times- while the restaturant appeared to be at only 25% capacity. Too bad, the Nook has always had a warm and cozy atmosphere, but there are many other restaurant choices that take pride in the quality of food served and culture of...

The food was okay, was pretty expensive for what I got. $25 with tip for a cheeseburger and some fries. The waitress was nice. What really set me over was the establishment not handling a drunken customer appropriately. The customer was yelling at another customer from across the bar. The situation then escalated to both customers yelling at each other outside. The one who initiated the conflict, then proceeded to wait for the other customer to finish there meal outside, looking for trouble. Instead of handling the situation professionally and asking both parties to leave, they let the loud drunken idiot return making everyone else feel uncomfortable. I do not like how they handled this situation at all, and will likely not be returning...
