Saw the billboard heading 95N and decided to stop in. Very easy access to 95. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. It is clear that these folks leaned their manners growing up! Really quaint place, being a former Burger King. They have outdoor seating and will gladly turn the heaters on if you ask. Decent menu! Great chalkboard menu and very good prices. Don't forget to check the clipboard next to the register for the daily extras. (Just an idea, add a spot next to the chalkboard with Today's Extras! I missed the rutabaga after I ordered. I know you would have kindly changed my order, but just an idea!) Now for the food. Nice selection! We ordered the BBQ Chicken platter with boiled potatoes and greenbeans and the BBQ platter with boiled potatoes and coleslaw. Both orders came with hushpuppies. All the food was quite tasty! Boiled potatoes could use a bit more seasoning, but decent. Hushpuppies were great! If you are traveling through, worth a stop to give this small town place a try! Thanks for a...

This was an unplanned stop as we drove north on I95. We had no idea how amazing this restaurant would be. For starters, at 1230 on a Sunday, this place was crowded with some of the nicest, most polite people we've met in a long time. As we stood in the queue, complete strangers just started talking to us. We ordered the chicken pastry and a BBQ sandwich with a dozen hush puppies. Both of these came in serving sizes that were just the right size for lunch, and absolutely delicious. BTW, during both the queuing and while we ate, a manager (?) came out and checked on tables, greeted people, and made sure everything was going well. This sort of hospitality took us by surprise, especially when we realized that the manager knew most of the people there. The decor all around this place was quite unique. Finally, there is also a story about the restaurant's owners, but you have to read the article (sadly, it involves a tragedy). If you want really good BBQ and a very welcoming atmosphere, this is a must...

This is a nice place to take your family! It is inexpensive, clean, family oriented, and staff is very friendly. Food is home style. My daughter and I had chicken pastry with green peas as her side item (She didn't want anything off the kids menu). My two side items was patato salad and mashed yams. My husband had BBQ chicken (it fell off the bone it was so tender), with corn, mashed potatoes, and a banana pudding for desert. All was served with huspuppies. There are a lot more options to choose from. They also have a menu to pick from too. You go up there, and they serve the food from the hot bar after you tell them what you want. Now some items you will have to wait for them to cook like, shrimp and fish if they are having it that night you come. We found out two things while we were there our first time. It's Christian oriented. And you leave your trash and plates on the table when you leave. They will get it. They also have a nice covered area to eat outside you like. The restrooms were clean and well...

I have always by-passed this restaurant, so for dinner I decided to stop to see what the buzz about this place was. When one walk-in, he or she is greeted by an old southern charm of decor and the aroma of food being cooked. Everyone is pleasant and ready to offer his or her favorite menu items. The food is prepared by the staff via a buffet. One has the option of dining in or carry out. As I understand more about this restaurant’s history, I noticed that they are a Christian establishment and cursing is not allowed. During my visit, I ordered the BBQ plate with cole slaw and hush puppies. The food was amazing.
