We moved to the area in September. This was the first place we tried for take out. The pizza was average at best; think dominos level. I also ordered an Italian grinder. The bottom of the roll was soggy and the top was burnt black. Not dark...black. I was amazed that they would actually wrap it up and give it to a customer. We have not, and will not, return.
EDIT: I only just saw Victoria's reply and Google doesn't let me reply.
Victoria: I did not post a review 5 months after the fact. Why it shows that way on google, I have no idea. But my review was contemporaneous to my experience. Sorry it ruined your day.
To address your points. Yes, I could have called and complained. Yes I could have driven back to the store and asked for restitution. But here's my simple answer: I didn't see the point. You are not the only game around. I give a place a chance. If I don't like it, I take it as a lesson learned and I try somewhere else. I certainly didn't feel like getting back into may car and driving back. The fact remains that the pizza just wasn't very good (my main objective for ordering that night). I have since found places to order different things.
I will finish by saying you have one chance to make a first impression. The first impression I got from Pizza Mia was not good. I used this forum to relay MY experience (and I did it at the time). I have no ill will toward you or the establishment. Clearly many other people have had different and better experiences than I have. I wish you all the best, but I will not be counted among...
Read moreGET THE MEATBALL SUB/ GRINDER. Im 100% Italian so for me the meatball is the way I tell if a shop is good. This was a tender homemade meatball / not a weird frozen chewy meatball sauced to cover a fake meatball. The roll was fresh and perfectly toasted! I would have posted a pic but it was so good I couldn't stop eating... In response to the lady that felt the need to hit owner after she contaminated items shelved...and then almost cried after the owner yelled! Italians yell. Being fake nice is not good when youre running a business with high standards. Why would she want to eat at a place where the owner doesnt care to take care of the place. Gotta Love THE PASSION BEHIND THE FOOD WITH His RESPONSES! Bravo!
The other way off review... The chicken cutlet was chopped so the whole chick breast doesnt come out of roll when you take a bite... and that crispy roll with a sauced filling is what makes it.... The Tiramisu was also good...Like a cup of...
Read moreTo be clear, this rating is for their sandwich’s I ordered. I got the buff chx and ordered with extra meat. The bread was worse than Wawa quality and not only was it not extra meat, I got charged for it and there was barely any meat in the sandwich. Ridiculous! I then asked the owner what other sandwich I should try and he suggested the hot honey chicken. The cutlet was dry as hell and the bread… well you know. I mean, it sounded good to order on the menu but since all the parts inside were poor quality and cooked badly it was also a major failure.
The Stromboli I ordered for the kids was good. I ended up eating that instead and throwing away the sandwich’s.
If you can’t make it good, don’t put it on the menu is my suggestion. There no room for arguing this, I grew up eating all kinds of amazing Philly sandwiches and these...
