So for starters, my beautiful servers name is Vina. If you go there, ask for her! She is such a wonderful lady! (Tip her well! She deserves it! You'll see!) Secondly, I've always wanted to go to Copper River ever since it opened 20 years ago. Finally after all this time, my husband and I were spending time in Nicholasville and I asked since we had the time, if we could go somewhere to eat. My husband agreed but said he wasn't sure where. I knew exactly where. Lol. After driving from Paris, Ky we were hungry. We found a great parking spot, went into the restaurant and the greeter there was so polite and sweet. She seated us within seconds of being there. We sat in a roomie booth near a tall fire pit and we were immediately greeted by our server, Vina. She began to explain the menus to us and the drink list. She also complimented my husband's shirt choice. Lol. She left the table and got our drinks and hurried back to us. Then have us a couple more minutes to look at the menu and to make our minds up. Believe me, they have a wonderful selection of food to choose from! So difficult to get just one thing. You want to taste them all! I chose the club sandwich with fries and my husband chose the 10 oz sirloin with loaded potatoes. Within our first bites we were hooked on how good the food was. My husband made the comment that he wished they had a closer location because they have just became a favorite to him. When it came time to go, I ordered 2 pieces of cheese cake with strawberry and cream. Vina, our server, brought it to us and she talked to us for a few minutes and then I paid our bill. Just before we left we exchanged names and goodbyes. Y'all, I'm telling you... This place, the food, the service is WORTH IT! SO GOOD!!

Copper River Grill was recommended by a friend, and when we came down to Nicholasville we decided to give it a try. There was a short wait to be seated, however they text you when your table is ready and while you are waiting there is a link that you can check the status of your wait, including how many parties ahead of you and approximate time remaining until you are seated. Food was great with a real nice variety so there was something to please everyone. Serving sizes were very generous, and well priced. Service was excellent, our original server stopped by to let us know she was leaving due to an emergency at home and we would have a new server. We were a bit skeptical at first since it took the new server a short bit to get to our table and take our order. However our concerns ended up unfounded. Call backs were made, we didn't have to flag anyone down for drink refills, and didn't have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for anything. The decor at Copper River Grill was pleasant and homey. It was a little loud, however they were quite busy that night, and it wasn't overwhelming. Overall, an excellent dining experience and we are glad that we gave it a try.

We were on the Nicholasville road side of town and wanted to try something different. This was our first time at this restaurant. The visit started off good as we received our drinks in an appropriate amount of time but we were not ready to order at that time. We decided what we wanted but then waited, and waited, and waited. We got placed near the bar and the bartender was our waitress. Our particular booth was on the opposite side of the entrance to the back of the massive bar. She was busy and it was apparent making drinks was the first priority. About ten minutes into waiting my husband and I said we would give it five more minutes. Literally, right when we were sliding out of the booth another waitress came over and said she was going to take over so we stayed. She was much more on top of it and did apologize multiple times. We waited another 30 minutes before receiving our food. The booth behind us actually arrived after us, ordered, got their food, and left before we actually received our food. The waitress brought our food and said the fries were still cooking but she wanted to bring the other food out. We did appreciate that and she brought more fries after they were done. The food was good overall, and the side salad was huge. The fries were under seasoned though. When we left, we noticed there were a ton of tables available but many people waiting. I assume they were low on staff. Don’t go to this restaurant if you are short on time. With all the waiting it took an hour and ten minutes before we were able to leave and it was just a party of two. Note: My husband thought the experience deserved a 2 but I was generous.

I can't say enough good things about this place! Robby is a fantastic person and waiter. He asked if it was our first time and it was so he told us the story of how Copper River Grill came to be! It's a great story especially for someone like me who loves going to Alaska. The food was spectacular. From my "side" salad that was big enough to be my dinner to my salmon and mixed vegetables. My husband had a delicious burger and fries. The atmosphere is astonishing and reminds you of a ski lodge. A beautiful, peaceful place with low lighting. The bar area is beautiful as well! They even have Bud Light on draft which is my favorite. Toward the end of our visit a very nice lady came out from the kitchen to see how we liked our food. She was very nice. We noticed a couple leave and overheard that they didn't leave a tip! 1. How rude! 2. If you can't afford to leave a tip, especially to someone as great as Robby, then don't go out to eat! We will definitely be returning and we will be asking to sit in Robby's section if he is there! Thank you for such a wonderful place!

**update** I heard this place had turned around so I decided to give it a try. Right up front the pigeon poo, feathers, and pigeon welcoming party were off putting . Then the health department review. There was a follow up, never a good sign. Again, I love a good turn around story so I pushed past. The food was good, with generous portions. But, it was priced fairly high so it doesn't amaze me. I did notice the table next to us left and it was reset with all the fries under the table the toddler had dropped. No thought of cleaning that up. So I think some problems persist. I would love to hear otherwise so give it try and leave a fresh review. I'll just say for now, still not for me. Original 👇 Waited a bit to be seated, wasn't too busy. They took me and my family to a booth full of crumbs with pieces of slimy cheese on the seat, food all over the sticky floor and the table was dirty. We decided not to stay, never even ordered drinks. Walked out and won't be back.

I order lunch there multiple times per week because I work in the area. I experienced bad service last Friday at lunch and again on Monday. Salads delivered w/no dressing and we waited so long that I had to go to the kitchen myself. Piping hot plates with cold food on them. Incorrect order and a long wait with children. I didn’t complain because I usually enjoy my food. This week, my lunch salad was straight trash. It looked as if someone slid it off of a plate and into my to-go container. It was off temperature and my salad has filled with brown lettuce. After I picked all the brown lettuce out, there wasn’t much left. I called to request a remake since I was back at work, but I was told someone would call me later and mail me a gift card because too many people complain....I have yet to receive a call. I called back today, now feeling lied to, among other things and someone told me to come in between 2 and 4...I’m very disappointed with this type of service.
