Peter's Carryout — Restaurant in Kettering

I was hopeful that the food would be as good as the overall rating, but unfortunately it is not. We ordered the wonton eggdrop soup, which was a greasy concoction of egg, wonton and a broth that was more like a greasy sludge. We also ordered the Shrimp Chow mein, which was extremely greasy and the vegetables were mushy. We also had the combination lo mein. Words can't describe how awful this was, but here goes. The noodles were over cooked and mushy, the vegetables although very few were not fresh at all, and it was over salted. Lastly we had the Kung poa chicken. It was 50% peanuts, 25% vegetables and 25% chicken that was rubbery. It was the worst $33.00 we've ever spent. Oh, I forgot, they gave us a large pork fried rice with our order for free. It was the dry, flavorless, there were a spatering of veggies, no egg and the pork in it was hard as rocks. We will never eat...

I have been going here for years and never had a complaint until, I went here three days ago and the cashier was very disrespectful. She acted as if should couldn't speak or acknowledge my presence. I spoke to her and said "hello", how are you". no reply to my "please" or "thank you". Carryout's never need to advertise because black people hold them down with support. How is it that you have a business catered to my people and supported by my people and in an area where mostly my people live.... but have no respect for my people? If that food wasn't for an elderly person in my family I would have asked for my money back and left. Let me be fair here and say, this message is only a reflection of the employee and not the business as a whole. However, I will not be returning here. I will go to Eddy's instead where the ladies there treat...

My best friend put me on to this carry out about 13 years ago. She used to come down from Baltimore Maryland just to get their fried rice and because I do not eat fried rice like that, at that time, I never understood her addiction. But as I got older and moved closer to the Largo area that has become one of my favorite carry outs to go to. I have never seen any bugs in their the owner is extremely nice he has had to same staff may be for about the last 6 years and have only changed once or twice. Their food is always fresh. I have never had still food or old food their and their selection is even better. I would recommend the fried corn nuggets they are so delicious. I have to repeat that the owner is awesome.
