Small-Town Diner, Big-Time Flavor – Chat-n-Chew is a Must! If you're anywhere near McCoole and haven’t eaten at Chat-n-Chew, you're missing out on one of the absolute best hidden gems in the region. This place is everything a hometown diner should be — friendly, fast, and packed with flavor. Let’s start with the clams. I’m a clam lover, and they’re almost impossible to find done right around here. But Chat-n-Chew knocks it out of the park — fresh, tender, and seasoned perfectly. Honestly, they’re every bit as good as what I’ve had at coastal seafood spots. It’s a rare find, and they do it right. Breakfast is another home run. My go-to is eggs, sausage, and toast — simple, classic, and always spot-on. My wife swears by the chipped beef over home fries, and it’s become her comfort food favorite. Portions are generous, everything’s made fresh, and the coffee hits the spot. Their burgers? Absolutely fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way you like them. It’s real food, made by people who care — and you can taste the difference. To top it all off, Chat-n-Chew typically hosts two car shows a year, and the turnout is always impressive. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a community hangout where good food and good people come together. Chat-n-Chew is the kind of place you come back to again and again — because nothing beats real food made with heart.

Went to Chat and Chew Thursday, August 28, 2025. around 4 pm. Was easy to get to and find. There was plenty of parking. We were in a big group and were seated immediately. The interior is not fancy, but has interesting memorabilia, including a life size Elvis. The prices were fair to excellent, especially considering the generous portions. The food was delicious. My wife had chopped liver and onions topped with bacon and I had a double stack bacon cheeseburger. We were both happy. The waiter was friendly and fast. He refilled our drinks several times. Overall, the Char and Chew delivered good service, good food, and a good experience. I recommend it for families, couples, and work groups. I will definitely eat there again. Thanks, Chat and Chew.

I’ve been a customer since 2013 and service & food was good but the past three years I’ve been less satisfied The quality is less When I order chicken salad with sour cream chives fries on it they started chopping up my chicken and it would come out dry and salty so I been ordering special chicken to be left uncut no problem usually Today brittney my waitress Did not greet us happy She took three of our orders which was two Marylanders and my salad Special chicken uncut She goes with ticket comes back with the hot food serves another table then brings me back my salad with chopped up chicken on it I start showing my family how it’s not what I asked for then our waitress Real hatefully says that the only way we can make it. JUMPING into my conversation at my table look here I’m not being silent when someone treats me bad & I in return raised my voice like hers and asked why couldn’t I have it whole because I’ve ordered this like this before no problem And she screaming at me that if I don’t stop raising my voice she kicking me out And wouldn’t try to reason with me just pure hatred of me She said keep it up I’ll kick you out so I got up told my family don’t pay for that meal since I didn’t touch it She kicked out my family Too they said nothing to her She threatened to call cops on them for not paying but would not let them pay the bill Both them are autistic They begged & pleaded and felt traumatized They told us we was banned took a picture of my family car tag he couldn’t drive home without pulling over to breath It’s really bad and a crime to be treated so bad!!!!!!!!! I have video female cook was hateful to me as well I really have to say the food is regular and this one waitress getting by with treatment of customers is ridiculous It’s not worth a glance You lost my friends and family Gatherings No place not Dennys Not even McDonald’s would justify treating loyal customers Or any customer...

Terrible service. Watched our server "Amy" scrape food off somebody else's plate into the trash and then brought me lemons without washing her hands. I politely asked her to remove the lemons and to bring me new ones after washing her hands, and instead of complying, she wanted to argue with me, saying that she had not touched them with her hands. I watched her touch them as she brought them to the table. I left it at that when she DID go wash her hands before bringing our food, and it would have been left at that had she not felt it necessary to gossip about the situation with another server while in earshot. I interrupted the two in order to ask if there was a manager or owner available to speak with. Amy didn't feel it necessary to acknowledge me, but the other server responded saying she would check for me. I'm sorry, but I think sanitation is of the utmost importance, especially in a restaurant setting. Very disappointed in the standards of...
