Mazzio’s Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Kilgore

Im so torn about this review. We love mazzios and have been going here with family since i was little and I have excellent memories here. Im not saying its dated because I like it how it is. It's the cleanliness for me. I had to take my kids to the bathroom while here twice and both times the bathroom is horrifying and i very quickly told them "for the love of god dont touch ANYTHING in here". The caked layer of grime on the floors, floor corners, walls, ceiling, etc. A deep clean from a private company would change everything here. The trash cans are placed precariously on the tops of the toilets. And we know what gets thrown away in women's bathroom, imagine if the trash can was bumped by someone sitting down what would be on the patron/floor... just screw it to the wall and avoid a disaster. Also the arcade, kids are disgusting, I know because I have 2, some solvent and a wipe down is desperately needed. The air hockey table doesn't even work properly because of the layer of build up and the leaking ceiling that dripped into my freshly washed hair was off putting. If there is water dripping into the 30 year old carpet I'd bet its festering something. This was all noticed before we got our food so I refused the glance into the kitchen because i jnewbi was going to eat here anyways and sat down with a hope and a prayer the pizza was still good. The pizza was excellent some of the best pizza around here. I WANT this place to survive so badly please just hire a cleaning company for one good deep clean. We will still come back even if you don't but I know others may not. We will just bring hand sanitizer and pee before we leave the house.

I have been ordering from Mazzio's on and off. I usually only order the Cinnabowli because the pizza tasted like cardboard. However, recently the pizza has improved. I'm not sure if it's new management or what. I always order a big order and love the chef's salad. I cannot eat cheese, especially cold cheese. It makes me regurgitate and it's just gross to me. Today I placed an order as usual and there was cheese in the meat roll up. I contacted the store and the employee informed me that it was just provolone cheese and I can just take it off. Well gosh what a bright idea. Now mind you I order the salad the same way and there has been NO CHEESE. He stated that he thought I meant no shredded cheese and to just take off the provolone. This wudve been ok if I was his child and he paid for this food. No cheese is NO MF CHEESE. After asking him what if I were allergic to cheese he THEN apologized and offered to send me 3 slices of meat or next time he will make a note of the "No cheese" request. I will not be placing any future orders. I have spent over 150& here in the past 2 weeks. I will take my business else where. I tried to give them some business since I noticed no one frequents here. But...

Mazzio’s Italian Eatery is great! I was hosted by my organization February 24, 2024 around 12 o’clock! The salad bar, pizza, and brownies, and cinnamon sticks were paid by the organization, with as many as 50 participants! The food was great, offering a wide range of dishes from diverse flavors of pizza, a salad bar, pasta, wings, and sandwiches! All meals are kid-friendly, sharing common tastes of kids! Staff were good and friendly, though they could use a little work of better communication. The cashier was quiet, but other than that, the job was done quickly and effectively. The atmosphere was okay overall. It was mainly dirty around the salad bar, dessert station, and some tables! Drink station, though, was surprisingly clean! Overall, Mazzio’s was a very great place to eat, containing a wide variety of dishes. If I ever come back to this area of Texas, I will definitely pay Mazzio’s a visit! Thank you for hosting...
