Sadly we won’t be coming back to this location after our last horrible visit on Thursday. We’ve eaten here multiple times over the years without issues before they implemented the new policy of no outside food/drink. We came to have lunch (grandma, me, my 7 year old, my 1 year old) and was told that my 7 year old couldn’t have her sippy cup (they never mentioned anything about my 1 year olds sippy cup). After I explained to multiple staff members that’s she’s autistic and won’t drink out of a different cup they went and notified the store manager. Store manager said it was fine this time but never again. Also the menu still stated they had fried catfish (one of my daughter’s favorite safe foods with double rice of course) but apparently they no longer serve this. I understand the need for the policy they have and I also had no problem ordering an extra glass of tea to refill my kids cups (which I did) but I feel like it should’ve been common sense that the cups were for the kids. Apparently they’re no longer inclusive or will be accommodating for special needs/disabled when it comes to the cup policy. We have no issues going to the jalapeño tree in Carthage but will definitely not be doing our lunches in Kilgore anymore after this experience. We prefer taking our daughter to jalepeno tree since it’s not as loud as others places (she gets overwhelmed with loud noises) and we are able to block her into the booth to keep her from eloping (it’s a safe option because of the booths). Very disappointed that we will have to drive further now to have our “lunches with grandma” but my daughter deserves to be treated better and understood that she has certain things that she just can’t let go of. We try to include her in as much as possible when she can handle it and this place used to be a safe place for her to enjoy some time eating yummy food. Still confused on her cup was any different than her 1 year olds...
Read moreI made a to go order and asked for quesadillas with HAMBURGER MEAT, GROUND BEEF. I go inside pick up my order and leave. I make it to my residence and it’s not what I asked for. They gave me fajita meat! Not to mention the other items left out. On the bag there was a slip taped that said Fajita and someone had gotten a pen and marked through it and wrote Beef( so maybe whoever took the order the first time didn’t know how to put it in the computer properly) I call speak to a manager and let her know what happened and informed her that it’s 30 degrees outside and that someone will have to come to my car once I come back up there. I get there and one of the girls brings me out the remade food corrected. The quesadillas are so small so I just asked if I I could order of the exact same thing again. Long story short the new order I placed had fajita meat in it again. I call speak to a manager and nothing is being done about it except they can re make my food again. Why would I trust y’all will get it right the third time ? I asked for the owners number and corporate and the manager says well I just can’t give you his personal number… I didn’t even make a comment, because I’m not asking for a Personal number. I had in mind a business number during business hours. Anyways the ground beef on the first order that was re made was not done, it is very much so pink. I have taken photos. I will be contacting the BBB at this point. Thanks for ruining my dinner with fajita meat that was decided to be given to me a 2nd time that I did not ask for that I paid for unknowingly because why would a 2nd mistake happen in the same night with the same individual and then uncooked hamburger meat on...
Read moreThree words or ok maybe four, green sauce, butter, salsa and all you can eat chips served immediately when you sit down. Need I say more?! You can make your own of my favorite before you walk out the door too, frozen yogurt cones!!! The food is forever amazing and the kids will always want the cheese bread bowl (it's only like five dollars, filled with cheese,in a fresh made bread bowl. Btw,how do they make a bowl with a top that still fits out if bread and how does it always come out golden perfection?). It's inexpensive, not to be mistaken with the word cheap so it's affordable, like seriously! That's a huge deal for parents who'd like a break from cooking once at least every two weeks or ladies and gentlemen who cook every meal or they don't eat.... It's not so extreme on the prices that you can't afford to look at the menu. One order of fajitas seriously feeds two people who can put away four people's food. On fajitas,I'm confessing, I can put away two people's huge serving size but you get enough to do that on one platter. You'll have to see it to believe it. Its tons of meat, both grilled chicken and beef if you'd like or you can choose to get only one meat but its still piled on . Each place ive mentioned today, sonic, whataburger and jalapeno tree are known for huge serving sizes and I could swear lately the prices seem less. I know I'm not loosing my mind. Its,like only fifteen to twenty bux for two with extra stuff and large drinks at those places. I swear restaurants are going down on prices or something. I was paying almost twenty for me to eat at most places out in the world only a year ago. Ok ok ok I'm done thinking out loud.... I hope this helps you decide...
