Not what I expected to find on a ski resort on a mountain in Vermont in terms of food options but was hands down by far the best food I've ever had on any ski resort from the west coast to the east (I literally was itching to write this review when I got back home). I stopped in for lunch after hours of skiing & the line was slightly long, but I felt like it would be a better option than the typical soup, hot dog & chicken tender options. Well, it's safe to say it was well worth it.
I ordered a jerk chicken bowl & a painkiller & it was the best combo. The chicken was super tender & not dry at all, which I fear most of the time when I order anything with chicken in it. The pineapple salsa & the black bean salsa made the bowl super refreshing & and personally, I hate all kinds of beans, but honestly, this whole bowl combo was so good I finished every last piece of coconut rice & black bean.
The painkiller was really good & a nice touch to the bowl & it was a pretty warm day, so the cold & delicious drink was a pleasant welcome to my taste buds. Total food & drink combo came out to a little over $40. I already know what I'm going to order next time I am there, oxtail bowl with a painkiller.
I definitely will come back to Killington for future winters & definitely want to bring friends & family to Jerk Jamaican Mountain Grill to enjoy the warm & friendly Caribbean vibes & food on a fun filled icy...
Read moreWhen I came to Killington, I expected to eat overpriced mediocre chalet food. That is not what this is. Spread all around Killington ski area are little huts. Each hut has a specialty. This huts specialty, delicious Jamaican food. We got the loaded fries, and boy were they loaded. Fries covered in an assortment of veggies, sauce, and four decent hunks of chicken. Unless you're really hungry, dont expect to eat it all on your own. We ended up buying 2 of these for 3 guys, we all left satisfied (maybe even a little full). We came on a Saturday, and the place was packed! We waited in line for 20 minutes, and when we got our food, there was no where to sit inside (plenty of seating outside). In my opinion, it was...
Read moreThis place puts out some of the most complex, delicious flavors. The oxtail, curried goat, jerk chicken, pork are fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. If you’re there when they have the curried goat special GET IT. If you like some heat, their Hell Fire habanero hot sauce is delicious (and packs a punch if you like real heat) and their Jamaican hot chocolate is the perfect way to end the meal. Thanks...
