Stopped in for a birthday dinner while passing through on the interstate. Not many options given we are vegetarian/pescatarian, but the staff was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way for us.

A lot of the fare is down home comfort oriented and on the heavy side, but it’s worth a visit. Our salmon - one roasted, one blackened - were perfectly cooked and came out piping hot, as did the potato wedges (crispy, heavy on the cheese and no bacon bits) and the spinach risotto was creamy and flavorful.

I went for the smoked pecan pie as a birthday dessert. Our server recommended the Bavarian cream fried pie. The pecan pie was good - the pecans are VERY smoky and the pie sweet. I passed on the bacon bits (yes, on the pie) and alas they didn’t have the lime-infused whipped cream. I enjoyed it and wonder how it would be with the lime and bacon playing off the sweet and smoke.

Great service, we sat outside because we had dogs in the car. Patio is basic but it works. Neat and clean inside. Like, it seems, everywhere along the route, there is gambling - keno, I believe.

Overall a pleasant surprise and a great - and I think the only - non chain, non fast food option unless you drive 8 miles off the interstate to the next...

Had horrible experience with Stacy the manager. She is rude, and lies. Been there may times and loved it. Had a bad(gristle) rib eye sandwich replace meal with French dip great. Had cowboy nachos - not like they used to be. No cheese hardly or meat ($12.00). When she came to ask how everything turned out we told her fine. Bu nachos were not as good and no meat or cheese. She rudely pointed to the lil bit of burnt cheese around edges and said there’s your cheese. I showed her nothing in the middle. She pretty much told us to pay and get out and that we were very rude to our server (Jessica). When I asked Jessica if we were rude she said no. We even tipped her well because she did do a good job. When I confronted Stacy about why she would lie to us about us about being rude to server she demanded that we leave. I left my name and number for the owner (Becky) to call us. We will see. We spent $80 on food for 4 with one beer and waters oh yeah the sodas were flat that’s why we drank water. And they knew their machines were not working properly. I have never ever been treated so rudely by a small town business before. Will not probably go back. Rather waste my time and money driving to Columbia or Jefferson...

A good restaurant/bar, in my opinion, needs to have several things that are outstanding; Clean bathrooms, good selection of beers on tap, high and mid-level bourbons, non-smoking, creative menu, and great service. This place knocks all those out of the park! Being on a restrictive diet, I ordered the salmon and roasted brussel sprouts. The crust on the salmon was perfect and it was very juicy and cooked to perfection. The sprouts had the char I always look for on the outer leaves and were just the right consistency, not too mushy, yet not too crunchy. The table ordered the Nashville hot chicken smoked and fried wings as an appetizer. They were as good as any wings I've had in recent memory. The first thing I noticed was a bit of a char, which I really like. The flavor of the sauce was a nice balance of a slow heat and smokiness, with crisp skin that's extremely difficult to replicate consistently. As for service, the wait staff were all friendly and attentive. Our drinks were never sitting empty and she had a great knowledge of the menu. I will be back and will bring more friends along. I can't wait to try more of the...

Never have I felt a staff go out of their way to avoid serving me. We ordered our food and when it finally arrived it was inedible due to being so deliberately salty. Not one person on the staff there recognized that we sat with our food getting cold waiting for fresh silverware because our first set was dirty. Our waitress didn’t even inquire as to why we just paid our bill and didn’t eat but a few bites of food. 2 tables seated after we ordered our us received their food before us. The least they could have done was hang the stars and bars outside to let us know we wouldn’t be welcome.

Loved the environment, waitress was amazing! She was quick, friendly, and attentive. Food was disappointing. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich (without a bun), slaw, and a baked potato. When the food came out I noticed the cheese and butter wasn’t melted on my potato, the potato was cold. Slaw was great! Tried to eat the pulled pork but it was so hard and dry, my fork wouldn’t go through it. Also ordered the “I’m not your Huckleberry” which was ok, maybe just not my style.
