Rolling Fatties lives true to its name with an "eat it twice" sized burrito delivered for a very attractive base rate of $6.50 for their classic build. Dressing it up with a selection of add ons will raise the rate but the locally sourced meats and cheeses are the definition of Quality You Can Taste. I added local shaved steak and Cabot Monterey Jack to the classic burrito thinking I needed those add ons to make it worth while but the surprising highlight of the dish was the Rolling Fatties "oat groats" and the overall composition and spicing that comes with their signature dish. We were headed back from Sugarloaf and popped in on a whim, we went out back to the "Snikibar" (I dont think they currently offer indoor seating) and it was a blast. Engaging staff, live music, interesting regulars, rotating drafts and most of all - the best burrito Ive ever had. Check this place out. Its well...

Rolling Fatties is top notch! Before I go on to rave about them... if you only have enough money to get one thing here, get the maple glazed corn bread. It is heavenly. Now on to everything else that is splendid. The burritos are amazing. Everything they are filled with is exceptional. In most burritos rice is that bland filler material but here they use groats and they bring flavor to every bite. Groats are hulled oats and they use them because Rolling Fatties is committed to sourcing all their ingredients from Maine Even down to their rice alternative.

I chose to get the freedom fatty (chef decides everything that goes in the fatty) and it did not disappoint. Juicy pulled pork, creama sauce, black beans, corn. All from Maine producers...

This whimsical restaurant offers equal parts charm and delicious offerings. I will admit I was skeptical when I saw "groats" on the menu but felt brave enough to order The Fatty. It was absolutely delicious! Paired with a nice local brew, I was surprised that I wasn't missing meat in this vegetarian offering.

The menu is short and sweet. I saw the owner picking fresh herbs and veggies in the garden behind the shop so I know the ingredients are fresh and local.

Rolling Fatties has a lovely rustic outdoor bar with picnic table seating. It seems ADA accessible and family friendly!

Definitely worth a look if you're in the...

This is a go-to place for me whenever I get to the Carabassett Valley area for hiking or anything else near Kingfield. They specialize in fat burritos and local draft beers. They do have a few appetizers to mix up the menu, but the entrees are all various burritos. They even have Eli's Root Beer on tap! They list the local sources of most of their ingredients right on the menu, and everything I have ever had here has been top notch. On my last late visit, we had closed down with the owner/bartender, who was super friendly and made good conversation. He seemed like one who knows a little bit about everything in the area.

This tiny burrito shop is amazing. The food was so good my wife was eating my burrito after already eating lunch (she doesn't eat burritos). I ordered the Freedom Fatty, which is chefs choice. It ended up being rice, beans, cheese, a fries egg, some sort of pork and a sweet sauce that was what my wife kept coming back for. The staff was super friendly and really wanted to know we enjoyed the food. They had 4 great microbrews on tap as well. On Friday they had a band outside, we missed that. They have some picnic tables as well. If you're in this tiny town you have to stop here.
