I recently had the pleasure of dining at Catrenello's, a delightful family-owned Italian restaurant. From the warm, welcoming staff to the mouthwatering aromas wafting from the kitchen, everything about this place is pure magic.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, inside a 1920s passenger train car. Sprinkled with decor of the family's loved ones it reflects the rich heritage and love that the family pours into the restaurant.
Now, let’s talk about the food! Every dish we ordered was a amazing. During my first visit for a daughter/ mother lunch I got a chicken parm sandwich and my mom got a seafood special. The sandwich was enormous and the seafood special was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. Since then I have eaten at Catrenello's once a week trying something new from their menu each time. I love the sauce they use for their lasagna and meatballs. It has to be my all time favorite sauce from an Italian restaurant. I have also had their chicken fettuccine alfredo which was excellent.
What truly sets Catrenello's apart is the genuine passion you can taste in every bite. It’s clear that the recipes have been intentionally crafted and the quality and freshness of the ingredients are exceptional.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot or a place to enjoy a hearty meal with family and friends, Catrenello's is an absolute must-visit and it is worth the drive out to the airport complex.
Bravo to this wonderful family for sharing their love of Italian cuisine with us! Looking forward to enjoying many meals from Catrenello's for...
Read moreThis is a great place to eat. It is a quaint little restaurant inside a train car. There is only seating for about maybe 20 inside and then additional seating on the deck outside. We got a table right away at around 4:30p, and the tables stayed full until we left around closing time at 6p.
The service was excellent! We were greeted, seated, given menus and had drinks and bread within 10 minutes.
There is a variety of menu items and something for everyone. We ordered a soup, a Greek salad, raviolies, and meatballs and sausage in a savory tomato sauce with sautéed vegetables on the side. For dessert, my wife had the cannolis (they were out of the tiramisu).
The food tasted great, and the portions were reasonable for the cost. We spent a little over $50 and took food home. Overall, we were delighted and will be back for sure.
Unfortunately, the pizza oven was not ready yet as they are waiting on permits. I can't wait to try the pizza when they get...
Read moreThis is our new go-to restaurant! We came across it by accident on google and thought to give it a try while we had family in town. My boyfriend is Sicilian and prides himself on his chicken cutlet recipe, homemade spaghetti sauce, and alfredo. When we sat down for dinner and all our entrees came out, he was SHOCKED. He humbly admitted that the dishes and flavors were better than his own! Our family loved it so much, that 3 weeks later, our family that came in from out of town is STILL talking about it! We were there again this past week with different family members (my boyfriend's Sicilian mother included) and even she was impressed. Catrenello's is a MUST. I'm looking forward to when they can get their pizza ovens up and running! TRY THE ZEPPOLE...
