I hadn't tried Hibachi House until a couple months ago and it was SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! I always get their teriyaki chicken bowl with a side of sweet potato fries and it's the perfect dinner every time! My boyfriend really likes their spicy tuna roll. However, I am not a fan of sushi or Makimono myself. They're a little on the expensive side (The side of sweet potato fries alone is $5. Their sushi bar appetizers, hibachi, bento boxes, and grilled plates are between $10-$16. However, their teriyaki chicken bowl is only $7.75 and it is a GENEROUS portion.), but well worth the splurge every now and then. It's great to have such a tasty Japanese restaurant in town! Please do not listen to the 1 and 2 star reviews because I can guarantee their experiences, if completely truthful, are super rare occurrences that are not an accurate representation of the food, service, or staff here. Their staff is SUPER KIND and regardless of others' opinions on the presentation of the food, it is just SUPER DELICIOUS anyway and I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Also, if you need wasabi, teriyaki sauce, or any other sauce in your to-go order, I recommend writing it in the notes section of your online order. Otherwise, you should ask them to include the sauce(s) when you pick up your order. If you haven't tried Hibachi House yet and you love sushi and/or teriyaki chicken/beef, PLEASE give this Japanese...
Read moreWe were super excited to try this place for a date night, but the experience went so bad! We got the chicken hibachi with fried rice and steak hibachi with fried rice. They both came out cold. This is the first time in my life I've ever been served cold food at a restaurant. I had to go find the server because we waited and waited, but she never came back. I asked her to please heat up our plates. She was nice about it, but when she brought them back they were both STILL COLD. Temperature aside, the food was not good. The rice was not even fried, it was just cold white rice covered with some sweet sauce. It just tasted like a microwave lunch, definitely not what I expected from a sit down restaurant. The server never refilled my empty water the entire time. We were also served a hair in the crab rangoon, which is totally understandable, and not a big deal to me personally, but really topped off an already terrible dinner. We didn't eat very much of our food, and left. An hour later we both had stomach aches! We had brought the food home because we aren't wasteful, but after the stomach trouble, it went in the trash. Maybe this is more of a sushi place, but I would definitely recommend avoiding ordering hibachi at the Hibachi House unless you want a $40 stomach ache and...
