Wendy's — Restaurant in Kingsport

Being here never fails to make me realize just how empty/lonely The Putt-Putt Miniature Golf ⛳ course seems to be anymore. Even though it's finally complimented by a (and might I add useful) neighboring business. Which is totally crazy because back in the day it would have been freaking amazing to have had a fast food restaurant next door to some of the only Entertainment withing 100 miles or so (in all directions) of our area. With that being said though, back then Wendy's had the dollar menu, you could get a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger for a little over a dollar tax and all, but no...no ...not in today's world. The dollar menu is now officially "Why, Back in My Day..."

They took out the laser tag places, the Skate-Inn, Burlington Coat Factory, Theaters, arcades, lounges, bars, the Mall, etc... To make matters even worse the Carnival decided that around the same time that they were no longer going to come at their usual once, sometimes twice, and on a very rare occasion a third in the same year. Well that left a bunch of souls with nothing but ideal hands, heads, hearts, ...etc. There is literally nothing within a 100-mile radius (give or take) of our home, for souls to expell our stresses. Now we are left with both our pockets and our stomaches empty. I never thought I would see the day that I could no longer afford to go fishing,...I mean wow... because it costs money. That the Souls in these parts just done have...

This morning, I ordered the breakfast burrito combo with a side of ranch. Since they are notorious for not putting ranch in the bag, I checked while I was waiting on my card. No ranch. She hands me my card and I ask again for a side of ranch. She says we don't, have any, I said yes you do. (I totally would have taken salad ranch if necessary ) To which she picks the box of condiments up and shakes it at me and says no we don't. We didn't get any on the truck. Then says sorry about that, as an after thought as I'm driving away. However, the food was good this morning despite no ranch for the tater wedges. I just feel bad for the people who want chicken nuggets or salad with ranch later. Idk where the breakdown is at this restaurant, they may be really nice people who are just over worked and understaffed and obviously under supplied, to which corporate should be making every effort to help this store get the supplies they need and maybe offer some employee incentives for those who are working tirelessly just to keep the store open. Regardless of corporate failing, from my experience this morning, to the number of other reviews I've read, the people at the store are responsible for how they react and interact with the customer and that aspect needs some work...

I would hope that this review reaches the DM and GM at this location because it seems they are already aware of the problem at this store. Not only did I come last night and not be served while there was people in the store but I had another bad experience today. Last night I observed am employee texting while there was no one answering the drive thru. The other person seemed to be serving another customer and this was at regular business hours. Today, there was only 2 people working and 1 very rude old man with long grey hair that was only cleaning. He was actually cleaning the lobby that no one was allowed in because there was not any employees to cover the lobby. Oh the irony. Than he went on a smoke break in the parking lot and than back to cleaning which is all he seems to do. When I confronted Taylor (a manager) I truly felt bad for her. She fixed my order but the rest of my food was cold by the time I made it back to my Hotel room. To the owner: If you cannot appropriately staff your facility, you should close your store until so. No one deserves to endure the stress or the grief that comes with a store that cannot serve the public at full capacity. @Wendys Franchise board. This is...
