I just don't know where to begin when it comes to Holly Kaye's Country Cafe . I love everything about it from the service, the atmosphere, the employees, the list goes on and on! I've been stopping here for a few years now and Holly and her team never disappoint! The food is always delicious, well priced and HOMEADE by HollyKaye herself! Recently when i walked in, i saw that she has started keeping calf fries on the menu! Now if'n you want some good calf fries, lemme tell ya...you will not be disappointed! And last week...i found out she has some of the best Catfish I've had in a long time. I could go on and on about this gem of a spot that i found a few yrs ago, but i think y'all get the idea! This is a small town cafe with a small town attitude with clientele that comes from miles away....i drive almost 1000 miles from Arizona and stop here 2 times a week! So...to Holy and her team of awesome employees....keep doing what you're doing, and I'll see y'all on the...
Read moreI'm a truck driver, and this little cafe is on the same property as a small truck stop, so my expectations are not huge. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. No complaints really, but the bill was the eye popper! Holy crap! Friend of mine spent half his day fixing a problem I was having on my truck, so I offered to buy him lunch. $40. We both just looked at each other in shock. He started to feel guilty and reach in to his pocket and I stopped him. His help was very much appreciated. But I think we'll both think long and hard about eating there again anytime soon. I've spent much less most other places in this great country, and had better value. If you're just aching to eat in Mullinville Kansas, then this is probably your only bet. Otherwise, it's a long road east and west, north and south. There ARE other...

I saw a grilled Ham and cheese sandwich so I ordered that. The sandwich came with a single piece of Ham at least an inch thick on Texas toast and maybe 2 slices of American singles processed cheese. I ended up taking the sandwich apart and cutting the ham and some of the cheese bread. Huge disappointment, I decided to treat myself with some ice-cream to go and it was a piece of ice-cream like when you were 5 yrs old at a friend's Birthday party. I should have just eaten Peanut butter and jam or yogurt for supper in my truck. $18, ooh I also had an order of fries and they were good. I don't believe that I am being unkind or harsh but it was truly...
