Dinner Bell Cafe — Restaurant in Kirbyville

We were in Kirbyville this morning doing errands and the wifey was hungry for breakfast. So she got on Yelp to see what the options were for that area. Janice's Dinner Bell Cafe came up for a good breakfast, so we thought we would stop there before getting our other stuff done. We walked in and the waitress told us that we could sit anywhere we wanted so we grabbed a table. They weren't very crowded and she came right over to take our drink order and have us menus. Everything on the breakfast menu looked really good from a basic breakfast all the way over to omelette's of your choice. What caught my eye was the loaded Hash Browns! They came with everything!!! Gravy, jalapenos, cheese, bacon, ham, sausage, onions, Bell peppers, mushrooms, and the kitchen sink!!! It also comes with your choice of biscuits or toast! My wife ordered the Little Bell breakfast with two eggs, bacon, hash browns, gravy and one pancake. I ordered the Country Breakfast with three eggs, sausage, hash browns and gravy with toast. We also had ice tea for our drinks. The waitress was very helpful and outgoing. It wasn't long before our breakfast came out and we weren't disappointed! The hash browns and gravy were spot on and delicious!!! The eggs were fried just right and I had two good sized sausage patties and the toast was even great! It was already buttered, I loved it!!! My wife's was the same, but she said her pancake was one of the best she's ever got in a restaurant and she's a pancake conasuire!!! I just stopped by the dinner, bell café with the new ownership. They’re much more business savvy than what WE used too before. The whole interior got redone it’s a better floor layout I asked the waitress one breakfast sandwich surprise me white bread. The sandwich they gave me for seven bucks is almost as wide as an M-16 magazine and if you put 20 rounds in it, that’s how heavy the sandwich is lol sorry I took a bite and it’s not Instagram perfect anymore but I couldnt wait and they know how to cookbacon.!!!!!!!! and I can’t wait to be back.

The sandwhich had to be re-constructed by ME once I arrived at my house ; it was carelessly made today & was total rubbish a complete disappointment and I realized all the glitters isn’t gold & I decided to throw in the towel on a return visit! Let me start off with saying the server did a good job being it was her 1st day there. That being said probably will never stop by there again. I thought the bill was way over priced. Bill was $54 and change before the tip. We were driving thru town from a softball tournament and saw several cars there. After we were thru kinda wondering why.
