First time visiting after a day at Holden Arboretum on a Sunday at 5:00 and I have never been to an establishment where every member of the staff was so happy and customer focused. ( been in the business for over 30 yrs, so I have seen a lot!). The atmosphere was busy, cozy and offered a corner for every type of client.

While there was a 25 minute wait, we were able to sit right away at the long hi top adjacent to the bar.

Initially worried we would be in the way of staff that faded quickly as We were greeted by multiple staff including the bartender, Jared, who had such a kind spirit, you would never had guessed his main bar was packed with people after a Browns game! He suggested Gunnar’s Daughter Stout on tap, which is now my new go-to, it was that smooth and rich, wish I could take a keg home!! Thanks Jared.

We were also greeted by Jessica, who I think was the manger, she ended up taking our order after making several suggestions with descriptions that would rival any food critic! She made it all sound so wonderful, it was hard to choose. She was so attentive throughout our time and you can tell she loves her job. Hard to find in this business but speaks volumes about Tavern Six.

We ended up ordering NE clam Chowder, French Philly/ Mac-n-cheese, Open Face Salmon w/Brussel sprouts and the Cuban. All was so timely and very good. My only critic would be that the Mac-n-cheese she recom as a house favorite lacked any unique favor that would claim that title. And the French Philly was a challenged to eat given the texture of the bun and volume of beef. All in all, 5 star.

Wish we lived closer as this would be our favorite spot! Thanks for capping off a...

Tavern Six was not the original intended destination for our Saturday night dinner/drinks outing, but we’re sure glad that we decided to try it. We got there close to 7pm and the place was full, but we only had a short wait for a table. We sat at a booth in the bar area. It was loud and our server Nicky jokingly apologized for having to yell at us. As our entrees we ordered the Chicken Quesadilla (off the appetizer section) with a side order of fries and the Fly Daddy Fish Fry (from the entree section). The 3 generous sized hand breaded pieces of cod on the Fish Fry were delicious and came with house made tarter sauce. The fries were fresh cut, perfectly cooked, came hot, and the portions (on the Fish Fry and side order) were anything but skimpy. The fry side ordered came served in a cute little fake frying basket. The Chicken Quesadilla was 4 pieces with the chicken and cheese inside the tortilla and the pico de gallo sprinkled on top. Even though it was an appetizer, it was big enough to be a meal. We were very pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted that we ordered. Our server Nicky, with her fun personality, also added to our pleasurable experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable about not just the bar but also the menu. She was able to give us menu advice, told us things like all the sauces/dressings are house made, and could answer questions about what types of specific alcohols were available. After our visit to this hidden gem, we will definitely be returning to try some of the other menu items Nicky mentioned (like the...

My family and I stopped by for lunch yesterday. We are visiting family and aren't familiar with the area. So, we googled places close by and thought the food looked pretty good from pictures. We got up to the host stand and there were some people ahead and then quite a few behind that showed up a minute after we did. I was floored by the people already complaining about having to wait for a table outside or having to wait in line to be served at all. Those poor girls were running around the host stand and getting people sat (I believe one girl was actually one of the bartenders who ended up being our waitress) We got up to the front next and we were more than happy to sit inside, since that was all that was available. As the girl was starting to walk us to our table, she was stopped by someone complaining about waiting for tables outside. She politely handled everything and gently said she was going to seat us and she would be back to help them. I think I heard this poor girl catch flack a few times since we had gotten there. We were sat and taken care of by Amy, I believe is her name. I'm sorry if I got that wrong! She was nice and got our orders in quickly. She was running around and looked so busy but she was always sweet every time we needed anything. The food was so good! By far one of the best chicken clubs I've had! The beer was great too! I'd definitely come back next time we're...

An overall good experience with some highs and lows. Some of the food was remarkably good, and the people were friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. The wine selection, however, was unbelievably bad. Of the two house wines, the cab was passable. I am not exaggerating one bit when I tell you that the Chardonnay smelled like a wet dog. Realizing they were not a discerning wine crowd we tried replacing that with a rose that has turned into vinegar. To add to the weirdness, the otherwise attentive waitress was baffled by drinks. We got one of two waters 15 minutes before the first, she brought a short carafe of the rose and left without a new glass, so I used my newly found water to rinse the glass at the table, then when we went back to the cab and she dropped off the carafe we had to wait until she returned to point out that we had no way to drink it. Nearly all of the food really was very good, there was a mushroom cream sauce on the chicken that was fantastic, the tomato brisket was a little on the bold side but would have been great with a grilled cheese, the pulled pork was great from taste to texture and the hummus was exceptionally good.we definitely over ordered and paid $120 with tip for two but even without the misses in wine and the extra appetizer, that came out with the meal we would have been in the $90s. In that range we just expect more.

I always love it when I make it out to Tavern Six. The food is always good and this time I decided to go with the bacon blue burger and it did not disappoint. We got an appetizer of the hummus and the brussel sprouts because I love their brussel sprouts. The hummus platter is divine. The thing that I love most about their hummus platter is they give you plenty of stuff to dip in the hummus. So many places give you their dip with like two pieces of vegetables or pita bread, then you have all this dip with nothing to dip it in, but not here. I got the espresso martini and it was delicious It went down way too quickly. 🍸 The only thing that I have a hard time with is the acoustics in the restaurant. It gets loud and it's hard to hear your conversations at your table. I think they could benefit from some sound absorption panels. Our server was very attentive also. I never feel forgotten about when I'm here. I can't wait till their patio is open.
