Food didn't taste the same as last time I was here. Omg! This place must have sold out and new owners aren't puerto rican. Food didn't taste like anything. Water has more taste. The lechon was dry and tasted like lighting fluid. The morcillas only tasted like cilantro. What happened. Came from Orlando and was very disappointed. Another restaurant going down the tube. Noticed the place was empty. Now I know why. Will continue to look for real good puerto rican food.👎👎👎 Went a week 12/21 ago again to see if this place changed for the better. Not!! Ordered morcilla and pork, sweet potatos now the woman who serves you was too busy gossiping that the pork wasn't given to me. So now I went back and now which was rude they were whispering and appolized and gave me the other set of morcillas and pork for screwing the order. The workers are not working to their best capacity and the cashier was the only one who was Puerto Rican. And guess what the food wasn't made by a Puerto Rican. This place during the week was packed but now if you find 3 cars parked is a lot. When you begin seeing this is because either it sold out. Or the cook isn't Puerto Rican. It's sad cause to eat what's in the menu, it has to be made by only Puerto Rican. You can tell otherwise cause it's the sofrito taste that you can't copy. Sorry not going again.l! Going to try Martin's in Kissimmee next. Lol. You might see other reviews saying most of the food was gone. Not. They are not filling the place with enough food. Then you will be told they are out of it but it's not so. They aren't ordering enough food cause there isn't enough people...
Read moreGuavate in Kissimmee! I felt like home again. Great service, great food, full of flavor. Nada que envidiar a otros lugares. Even better than Puerto Rico itself. The pork was tender, juicy, warm, the skin was crunchy and tasty. Morcilla with the right kick to it. Pasteles like home. All fresh food. Family oriented environment. Awesome service very friendly. All clean, clean place, clean presentation, very well organized. I can’t ask for more. A 5 STARS rating gets too short to rate this place I would give them 10 STARS! Also, the price is right for the service and the Quality of the food. I will come here again many times more. They also sell “Hamacas”, Mesas de Domino hechas y pintadas a mano. Live music. A full typical puertorrican Sunday experience. ( I was reading other people’s reviews and I have to say that they do have a Board with the menu I have faith of that I read it in order to look if they had empanadillas and alcapurrias which they did. Also all the tables I noticed were clean and they are all hand painted as well very pretty. I have to say I had cuajitos too and they were made like guisados which I had before and they were delicious also the morcilla and you can have them spicy or mild in Puerto Rico as well so...
Read moreWell at first we would go and there was always a long take out line. So you would see 3-4 women helping you get your order out.now the line isn't as long ax it use to be but, you order and there is always a mistake by the time you reach to the register.then you pay by either credit card or debit card and , watch out.you can't see the words on the machine after putting in your card. The big joke is they ask for tips. Really? You get on line and order your meal. That's it. If you sit by the tables, yes I can see a tip. Anyway, if your not careful because of poor lighting on those machines, when asked to put a pin, you could be tipping and that's a problem cause you don't want to spend 10 dollars on fast food to find out you tipped over $40.00 cause your pin begins with a 4. That's right.so be very careful. Food is OK for being in Florida. Its not ever going to taste like Puerto Rican especially if most girls that work there are anything but...
