The Lick Sports Lounge and Bar — Restaurant in Knightdale

Absolutely disgusting experience. The owner of this place was visibly intoxicated, slurring his words, and making wildly inappropriate comments—especially toward younger women. At one point, he verbally harassed my girlfriend for no reason, shouting obscenities at her in front of everyone. This bar has a reputation for being a dump, and it lived up to it. Filthy, poorly run, and with an owner who behaves like a drunken creep. If you're looking for a safe, decent night out—go literally anywhere else. Avoid this place unless you're into being yelled at by a belligerent man who thinks it's okay to talk about young girls like that. Totally...

It's a dive bar, don't expect too much.

The service is always great and the smoking lounge out back is pretty cool. One or two of those couches may feel kinda sticky, though. They might want to work on that.

Still, I enjoyed it. Beer bottles were reasonably priced and if you're worried about the reviews saying the bathroom door isn't closing, there's a latch. That's how doors work. I used the facilities multiple times feeling comfortable in my privacy.

It's not a high class place, ngl. But if you're looking for something that's not a chain BS...

The Lick Sports Bar is the southern equivalent of Cheers where everybody knows your name and their always glad you came. It"s what every neighborhood bar should be. They have a great juke box, awesome staff, pool tournaments, a great little sitting room deck in the back and some really really great folks.
