Humpty Junior's — Restaurant in Knowlton Township

I’m giving this place a 2 star because I had a horrible experience especially since it was my first time at this place. Food was okay but the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. I ordered my food for dine in and was having trouble swallowing so I asked the waitress for water. I was told by the waitress her manager doesn’t allow them to give customers water because people use the cups for free soda at the soda fountain. I was in so much discomfort that a customer who saw how much distress I was feeling ran to her car to get me a bottle of water .The manager came to me to have a conversation about the situation and told me he was going to talk to the waitress. During our conversation his wife walked to us and told us she just wanted to listen to what our conversation was. The manager offered us a refund or a gift certificate as a way of rectifying the situation during our conversation which the wife said she disagrees with his decision. The manager gave us a refund and told us we are banned from the place and threatened to call the police on us after handling us the refund receipt. I was shocked on how this situation was handled and they showed how they don’t care about their customers comfort and safety. I’m deeply appalled and offended by how they treated us and handled the situation. Edit: The owner never came to me to tell me to leave the premises because I was sitting in my car ready to leave because of how I was treated. My dining partner came to the owner and asked why she can’t come back no more. The only communication I had with the owner was when me my dining partner and his wife was having a conversation about my chocking scare and my dining partner’s unfulfilled orders. I do not know what transpired between my dining partner and the owner but it’s just the fact that I got a non factual response about the owner telling me to leave and never come back is beyond my comprehension when I was sitting in my car waiting for my dining partner because I was ready to leave. Humpty Junior's: A Burger Lover's Delight (and Milkshake Heaven!)

My son and I just enjoyed a late dinner at Humpty Junior's, and it was the perfect way to end our day. We were both craving burgers, and Humpty Junior's definitely hit the spot. But it wasn't just the burgers that impressed us – their milkshakes are incredible too! The Burgers: The burgers were cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and exactly what we were looking for. The buns were soft and toasted just right, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We both agreed that these were some of the best burgers we've had in a while. The Milkshakes: We decided to treat ourselves to milkshakes, and we were not disappointed. My son went for the Cookies and Cream, and I opted for the Cookie Dough. Both were thick, creamy, and packed with flavor. They were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Seriously, these milkshakes are worth a trip to Humpty Junior's on their own! The Service: The staff at Humpty Junior's were incredibly friendly and efficient. Despite it being a late dinner rush, the two people working were attentive and quick to take our order. Revisited 7/17/21- Ordered the Humpty burger and they were nice enough to substitute onion rings for the French fries. I was the only person outside, a few folks inside, the order came out in five minutes. Big improvement over my last visit. The burger was tasty and not messy although I was expecting lettuce, it is an add on with an additional charge. The onion rings were also tasty, I could actually taste the flavor of the batter so the oil must have been very clean. A little too much batter, but that’s a personal preference not a ding on the rings. I did contact HJ via the email provided in their reply to my first review, no response.

First visit: Be prepared to wait. I don’t mind waiting if the food is worth it, that wasn’t the case with my order. I ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard, fries well done and the “Bandito” chili dog to go. When I opened up my package I found a good looking grilled cheese sandwich and well done soggy fries. Unfortunately the grilled cheese tasted like grease not butter. I threw the fries out. The “Bandito” was also a disappointment. A small dog four fingers long. Now the menu description said it comes with tortilla chips and it did, on the dog. More soggy stuff....
