Visiting from Texas I was on the hunt for a specialty coffee shop in the area. I visited Tree Top because I noticed they didn’t have drinks with all those frilly artificial flavors and syrups, which is always a good sign to me that the coffee is good quality and not Starbucks-esque. I was NOT disappointed. Aside from the relaxing drive through the gorgeous neighborhood that the shop is located in, the coffee tasted so delicious and the shop itself is so cozy. I tried the seasonal “harvest” latte and it tasted like a cozy cup of fall, not too sweet, just perfectly flavorful. The 2 times I visited I tried an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant— both were delectable. I’ll be coming back anytime I get the chance to visit the Knoxville area!

decently good coffee, seems that they like to stick to the basics in terms of year round flavor but they’re pretty creative for seasonal offerings. the atmosphere and people take the spotlight. i walked in for the first time and felt like i was in a coffee shop in the 90s when community was still a big part of the reason we went to coffee shops. definitely busy for new year’s day, most every spot was filled and for long, but i think that’s just a testament to how nice a space it is to chill in.

Was really excited about this place based off the reviews and anesthetic. My husband ordered a Carmel latte and they didn't have Carmel (never had that happen) so he ordered the Vday special "raspberry mocha". Unfortunately it is a very bland drink. Can't taste the raspberry at all, so that's disappointing. Also, don't know how I feel about how small their large is. Won't be going back based off price for product taste and size.

We're so lucky to have such a great neighborhood coffee shop, which is only a few minutes walk from my home. I could not be more impressed by all the employees, including the owners, and their constant dedication to meaningful causes in the neighborhood and community more broadly.

I must also add that I accidentally left my purse behind one day, and picked it up a few days later. Despite having a number of cards, a good bit of cash, as well as meds inside, not a thing had been touched---not that I would expect otherwise.

And again, the owners are top-notch: I just mentioned in passing to Rachel yesterday that when my friend had to step out for a phone call in the midst of ordering, that she was likely on a call regarding her mother's recent death. Rachel then insisted on providing her coffee on the house, which just further evidences their kindness. Thank you for providing such an excellent addition to the...

I visited this darling, local coffee shop for the first time this am. It’s a great location in the heart of Sequoyah Hills. It has a welcoming feel and a positive vibe. The high counters when you enter are not a welcome station, as I had thought. 😉 I did refrain from approaching a stranger who was working and say, “I need a table for two.” 🙄🤣🤣🤣 The barista was friendly and helpful and suggested something not on the menu but offered regularly: the honey bun latte. We got it iced and it was delish! Just the right balance of sweet and cinnamon w/o being too sweet. I also appreciated the playlist and volume of music. It was the perfect background music to drown out our conversation, be pleasant to listen to and wasn’t so loud we had to raise our voices. Well done! And knowing they donate profits is more incentive to support this...

Writing this to remind myself that TreeTop is OK. I have been several times over the past year, and clearly gaslight myself into thinking “last time wasn’t that bad.” But consistently, the drinks are not hot - they’re barely lukewarm. Out of a dozen times, maybe twice - the server has been kind. Otherwise, I have had to initiate the order… Condolences to the owner, it is a cute shop but the service (lack of friendliness and quality of products) is just not great!! I even thought, is it me?? But no, my friends have had similar experiences there. And after going so many times, I felt it was fair to share a review. On a positive note - love the music they play. Hope the owner can make some positive changes. Looking forward to going back again (optimistically)...
