Holy Smokes ! I had no idea that Andy's sold to a new buyer. Went there tonight, 7-16-21, and the new owners food is AWESOME !! My son ordered the Bacon Double Cheeseburger Medium Rare with Fries...It is at least a pound of meat and then all the extras ya want on top.... It was the most perfect cooked burger that both of us have ever seen. You go to Applebees or Chilis and order M.R. and you get done.... I even stole a piece of his burger to try it and I was impressed too.....of course, i did trade him for a piece of my main course..... I got a Reuben sandwich with fries, but I doubled the meat and doubled the Kraut......Holy SSSSSSSS !!!!!! On the Rye and the sauce, I was speechless. I almost could have eaten another 3/4 lb sandwich if i wanted to stay up all night from being too full.. We also ordered Chicken Quesadillas because we thought they might be joking about how big these sandwiches were. They were not wrong, we did not make it to the quesadillas at all...well, my son did eat a piece of the perfectly ripped avocado spear and said it was amazing. I will eat the quesadillas in the morning if my son doesn't get up in the middle of the night and beat me to them.... They told me the new owners are going to change the name to Cowboys. So, be on the lookout for the 'ol Andy's and enjoy the new taste of these people. I can't wait to try the...

Just bought a chef salad today, to say the least I feel robbed. The turkey was not cut at all, just slices of sandwich meat on shredded lettuce. The tomato was only cut into quarters and the cheese that was on it was sliced. I’m a student and work to pay for my school so when I go out to get lunch, I like to purchase food that I can’t make at home, I wouldn’t even make a salad this mediocre at home. With a drink I paid right under 11 bucks, when I could’ve spent the same money at the Italian restaurant and gotten way better quality food and portion and not feel like I just paid for an overpriced cafeteria salad. If I would’ve looked in the container before I left I wouldn’t have purchased it, but I waited to look when I got back to work in ponder because I trusted them to make something worth while. Just overall disappointed, especially since I go to eat on fish fridays with my family every week...

So tonight we finally tried this restaurant (after living in Krum for 4yrs and it switching to Cowboys) and it surpased our expectations. Being a cook I try not to be too picky. Any how the cooks did a great job on our food. Everything was hot and delicious. We had the potato skin appetizer, chicken fried chicken with corn and green beans, catfish (was meaty and not all breading with a nice cornmeal crisp batter) with okra and green beans (nice, smoky with bacon and onion). The hushpuppies were fluffy with corn inside and cripy outside! The service was great as well. I forget the girls name she was short, blonde wearing a hat. The gentleman was nice as well. I'm glad we finally took a chance. We can't wait to try the other menu items. Sorry it took us so long. lol Thanks again we will be visiting soon and inviting more...

This was a last minute find as I had researched another restaurant nearby that was closed down without any notice online. Stopped in before a high school football game about a mile away, and was greeted by a very nice set of servers. Very attentive service, good menu selection and breakfast all day! I opted for the Smash Burger and fries. Although this wasn’t what I would call a smash burger, the double meat was good, two cheeses, bacon, jalapeños and a 1000 island dressing made for a very tasty burger. Definitely would go back, although I will have to say I would try their breakfast menu as the offerings looked great. My wife also ordered tots, and she liked them so much they were gone before I got to try them, despite her “not being hungry”, LOL. I’d go tots next time also as the fries were good, but the tots looked great.

Wow! This is home cooking like Mom intended it to be! Nothing exotic or wild, but great american fare. The building is on the main street of Krum, obviously historic, but adds authenticity to the "country cooking" atmosphere. Homemade burgers with all of the "fixins'", sandwiches, salads... and their specialties... huge chicken fried steaks and southern style fried catfish. Many different home style sides made fresh and in the same home-style as their entrees. The club sandwhich is wonderful with perfectly toasted bread and crispy bacon. And the salads are big, fresh and wonderful! Try the Chef's Salad... It's great! A little further to drive (if you don't live in Krum), but well worth the drive.

I visited Cowboys Restaurant yesterday with a friend. It is an old fashioned, common person restaurant. It isn't fancy, doesn't service fancy food and doesn't charge fancy prices. I had a delicious cheeseburger, fries and a cola for much less than I was expecting. The person that served us was attentive and knew what he was doing. Cowboys has a friendly, relaxed, vibe. It is clean, including the restroom. You can have a conversation here in peach. A very positive experience. I will be back.
