After repeating terrible experiences at this restaurant, I need to revise my review from the 3 stars I gave it originally to a 1 star. If a 0 stars rating were allowed, I would give that. Each time I go the food gets worse and the service moves from bad to terrible to atrocious. The last time we went and actually got seated (skipping the time they had overbooked groups and had us sitting outside as couple after couple who obviously knew the manager got seated until we just left for another restaurant) one member of our party NEVER did get her food. Finally, as we were all leaving, they brought her food which she took with her. Was there ever an apology – no. Did the manager intervene at all – no, in fact when the manager was made aware that there were issues, she simply left. While the service has worsened each time, the food has also gotten worse. Smaller portions, often cold, often not what was ordered. I cannot warn people enough to just stay away.
Original Review in 2024: We went with a group of 10 for a Friday Night Dinner. Service was scattered and the delivery of food was very very very very slow. Although there were several open tables, so not full by any means, it should never take 50 minutes for orders to come. We ordered drinks and they came out slowly as well and were never offered seconds even though things took so long. And, this is a restaurant that can really use some kind of wine menu. We basically had to guess what they had and then the server would go back and look. As for the food, everyone felt very happy with it once it arrived. We all started with the brad dipped into the amazing garlic and oil offered. One of the best bread presentations I have ever seen. For my main course, I had the Sea Bass Maricara, which for only $19 is a steal. In fact, most of the items are priced lower than similar quality restaurant’s food if ordered 30 minutes away in Fort Worth or one of the more established suburbs. The Sea Bass was perfectly prepared and the shellfish on top were as well. My wife had the Spinach Ravioli, which was also done perfectly. Tossed salads wee average. So, if I were judging just food, I would give this restaurant a 4 out of 5. But, judging from the entire experience, the most I can...
Read moreBeing a small business owner myself, I do NOT like to give bad reviews. I always choose small businesses over corporate every chance I get but I will not be back into this restaurant again. I decided Italian tonight so I called at 8:15 and politely asked if it was too late to order seeing they close at 9. If it would have been no problem. The lady who answered took my order and told me it would be 20 mins which was perfect for me to run and get gas and then go. When I got there the lady who checked me out asked who I was and then told me the total, I handed her my card and she ran my card and handed me the receipt. As she was handing me the receipt she said "it was 5 min wait on bread right now do you want to wait". I said you just ran my card and charged me so I guess so implying that it would have been nice to ask me before charging me for it. The only thing I can figure out is maybe she was saying 5 min wait on regular bread and not my garlic bread I had ordered. The sad thing is this would not have been a big deal but she was hateful and turned and walked away. Then after sitting in my car for 5 mins I walked back in and instead of her bringing my food to me she walked half way towards me with my food in hand then made the other lady bring it to me. I asked for her name and it was Brenda, I also asked for the owner and was told the owner was gone. Now I'm not a difficult person, I am one of the most laid back people out there, but I will say Brenda needs either an attitude check or training in how to treat paying customers or needs to get out of the service industry because her attitude stinks and she is rude as they come. I get covid gave everyone an excuse to act like a horses butt, nevertheless if she was in my small business and just treated my customer the way she treated me, she would be looking for another job. I also know that with inflation the way it is, as a small business owner every one of my customers matter so I would hope Porto Finos feels the same because spending money out to eat now a days is not something everyone can afford right now. I would seriously be making sure that the customers that do choose to walk into my business are treated with the...

The food was amazing!!
