After repeating terrible experiences at this restaurant, I need to revise my review from the 3 stars I gave it originally to a 1 star. If a 0 stars rating were allowed, I would give that. Each time I go the food gets worse and the service moves from bad to terrible to atrocious. The last time we went and actually got seated (skipping the time they had overbooked groups and had us sitting outside as couple after couple who obviously knew the manager got seated until we just left for another restaurant) one member of our party NEVER did get her food. Finally, as we were all leaving, they brought her food which she took with her. Was there ever an apology – no. Did the manager intervene at all – no, in fact when the manager was made aware that there were issues, she simply left. While the service has worsened each time, the food has also gotten worse. Smaller portions, often cold, often not what was ordered. I cannot warn people enough to just stay away. Original Review in 2024: We went with a group of 10 for a Friday Night Dinner. Service was scattered and the delivery of food was very very very very slow. Although there were several open tables, so not full by any means, it should never take 50 minutes for orders to come. We ordered drinks and they came out slowly as well and were never offered seconds even though things took so long. And, this is a restaurant that can really use some kind of wine menu. We basically had to guess what they had and then the server would go back and look. As for the food, everyone felt very happy with it once it arrived. We all started with the brad dipped into the amazing garlic and oil offered. One of the best bread presentations I have ever seen. For my main course, I had the Sea Bass Maricara, which for only $19 is a steal. In fact, most of the items are priced lower than similar quality restaurant’s food if ordered 30 minutes away in Fort Worth or one of the more established suburbs. The Sea Bass was perfectly prepared and the shellfish on top were as well. My wife had the Spinach Ravioli, which was also done perfectly. Tossed salads wee average. So, if I were judging just food, I would give this restaurant a 4 out of 5. But, judging from the entire experience, the most I can get to is a 3.

Porto Finos in Krum has officially stolen my foodie heart. ❤️ We kicked things off with the bread and bruschetta (simple? yes. flawless? also yes), followed it up with peppers & sausage that had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, and then came the showstopper: the portabella ravioli. Creamy, earthy, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Honestly, if the ravioli had proposed, I’d be married again. But let’s talk about the true star of the night: our waitress, Haley*. Top-tier personality, effortless charm, and the kind of timing that makes you feel psychic. She didn’t just serve us, she curated an experience. Water glass low? She’s there. Bread basket empty? Appears like magic. Thinking about dessert? She already has the menu in her hand. Forget Michelin stars, give this woman her own galaxy. Pros: Food that tastes like someone’s Italian grandma whispered secrets into it. Atmosphere that’s cozy but still feels like a night out. Service so good it sets a new standard. Cons: I don’t live inside Porto Finos. I can’t eat ravioli every single day without consequences. Eventually, I had to leave. 10/10, no hesitation. I’ll be back, and next time I’m bringing reinforcements so we can try even more of the menu. 🍝✨

So we love the food, but service is extremely slow. They never get our to go order correct. I am currently standing here waiting for spaghetti noodles for our to go order... my husband picked up most of out order at 8p- its now 9pm!. I drove 10 mins back to the restaurant ( I called multiple times all the way there but no one answered) and then waited well over 40 mins more FOR PLAIN SPAGHETTI NOODLES! No sauce, nothing special. No I'm sorry, not let me credit this back to you, not here have something to drink or a dessert for the mistake and excessive wait. So if you like really good Italian food, but don't mind awful service, long wait times and missing to go items, try them out. Next time we order out, we will just drive a little further and order elsewhere. For now I will go home with these plain spaghetti noodles for my kid ( and hope she eats it even with this burned looking garlic or whatever that is in it) and eat my im sure cold by now dinner *updated... she did not like the noodles- they are swimming in oil/butter and burnt garlic

Being a small business owner myself, I do NOT like to give bad reviews. I always choose small businesses over corporate every chance I get but I will not be back into this restaurant again. I decided Italian tonight so I called at 8:15 and politely asked if it was too late to order seeing they close at 9. If it would have been no problem. The lady who answered took my order and told me it would be 20 mins which was perfect for me to run and get gas and then go. When I got there the lady who checked me out asked who I was and then told me the total, I handed her my card and she ran my card and handed me the receipt. As she was handing me the receipt she said "it was 5 min wait on bread right now do you want to wait". I said you just ran my card and charged me so I guess so implying that it would have been nice to ask me before charging me for it. The only thing I can figure out is maybe she was saying 5 min wait on regular bread and not my garlic bread I had ordered. The sad thing is this would not have been a big deal but she was hateful and turned and walked away. Then after sitting in my car for 5 mins I walked back in and instead of her bringing my food to me she walked half way towards me with my food in hand then made the other lady bring it to me. I asked for her name and it was Brenda, I also asked for the owner and was told the owner was gone. Now I'm not a difficult person, I am one of the most laid back people out there, but I will say Brenda needs either an attitude check or training in how to treat paying customers or needs to get out of the service industry because her attitude stinks and she is rude as they come. I get covid gave everyone an excuse to act like a horses butt, nevertheless if she was in my small business and just treated my customer the way she treated me, she would be looking for another job. I also know that with inflation the way it is, as a small business owner every one of my customers matter so I would hope Porto Finos feels the same because spending money out to eat now a days is not something everyone can afford right now. I would seriously be making sure that the customers that do choose to walk into my business are treated with the...

My son and I were out and about on a Saturday afternoon...we were looking at a few towns that we might be interested in moving to...we needed to eat lunch and just happened upon this restaurant...they had a pizza special going on...I forget the exact prices but the ad on the window was 2 pizzas for $29.99?? When you first sit down, the waitress brings the menus and gets your drink order...then they bring you 3 small / fresh baked rolls the look like little loaves of bread...there was a dish of individual butter pats already on the table...Anyways, we ordered entrees...my son had a meatball sandwich and I ordered fettuccine with Alfredo sauce, chicken and broccoli....my son's sandwich didn't come with any sides but the sandwich alone filled him up and he could barely finish it...my portion of food was the same...I took half of it home. The food was amazing!! Good quality, fresh food is satisfying and you leave feeling like you had a home cooked meal...not like you ate processed junk leaving your body feeling sick and empty...the service was great...our waitress was efficient and quick...she was knowledgeable about what was available...the restaurant was very clean and cozy..even the bathrooms were very clean...we read on the menu where the restaurant has been there since the 70's...this is a full on Italian restaurant not a fast food/ American style Italian restaurant but this place serves authentic food...we were pleasantly suprised...I am very choosy when it comes to dining out and this place was a hit...BTW...it was my birthday that day so I ordered a slice of New York Style...
