Pastimes — Restaurant in La Crosse

Stopped here for a drink and to play the casino machines. My husband ordered a beer and ordered me a Pepsi. We don't spend much when playing the machines and cash out at $20 or $30 if we only put $5.00 in and win. We both cashed out a couple of times, we were up about $40.00 or $50.00 and the bartender made a comment to my husband letting him know she was watching us. She claimed the machines never hit like that and made it sound as though we were cheating or getting over on them in some way. We finished our drinks and went to walk out and the bartender who is playing pool yells to us saying "Bye, thanks for the tip!" We didn't tip her and for a good reason. She was rude and then made it seem like we were cheating on the machines. Very unprofessional, very rude,and not welcoming at all. Here's a tip..... Do your job instead of hanging out and drinking and pull the cue stick...

This is a nice little bar on the north side. It sometimes has free pool and the drinks are stiff. They have some game machines and a nice wood look to the inside of the bar. They also raffle off prizes behind the bar. It's worth checking out if your out on the town...

I enjoyed my stop at Pastimes. The service was good and the bartender and people I met were very friendly. If you're looking for someplace to just kickback and relax without having to deal with all the "crazy" and "hussle" you find in a lot of bars, I would...
