A True breakfast Lover's Paradise
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 stars)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kelly's restaurant that left me in awe! From the incredible portion sizes to the delectable flavors, it truly was an unforgettable experience.
Food: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 stars) Prepare yourself for a feast of epic proportions! The standout dish for me was the chicken fried steak. It was absolutely massive, rivaling the size of a FULL-GROWN COW!!! The tender meat was expertly seasoned, perfectly breaded, and cooked to golden perfection. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that left me longing for more. And let's not forget about the biscuit that accompanied it! This super-sized delight was as large as a loaf of bread, adding a delightful texture to the meal.
Portions: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 stars) If you're a fan of generous portions, this is the place for you. The servings here were beyond generous, and it's safe to say that you won't be leaving this restaurant hungry. With the chicken fried steak being almost larger than life itself, every dish was a testament to their commitment to providing value for money. Even the heartiest eaters will struggle to finish their plate!
Overall Atmosphere: While my focus was primarily on the food itself, I must mention the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and made sure every guest felt at home. The cozy and inviting ambiance added to the overall dining experience, making it a place you'd want to return to time and time again.
Conclusion: In a world where awesome food and exceptional portion sizes sometimes seem distant dreams, this restaurant delivers them with flying colors. From the colossal chicken fried steak to the biscuit of staggering proportions, every dish is a treat for your taste buds. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere only enhance the overall experience.

Read moreI use to pride Kelley’s for their Turkey and Dressing dinner on the selected day. I would wait for that day when I would be home from offshore. I spoke with the owner at this specific kitchen about how things had changed over in the League City Kelley’s after their placed burnt up. I mentioned that I would never step foot in that place again because I felt their changes were more for profit and gain and not catering to their customers. She mentioned she would never change things because she like the way things were running presently. Well, I waited til Sunday the 16th of June to go have my Turkey and Dressing dinner. My wife chose the Fiesta Chicken and I PROUDLY ordered the Turkey and Dressing dinner with extra . I ate the mash potatoes and half of my wife’s Fiesta chicken and my green beans and yams… They tried to pass Turkey with Canned Chicken breast and the dressing looked like some soupy watery oatmeal served on a round small plate with three inserts to eat out of set in a large platter.. I had the “ Turkey and dressing Slop “ placed in a to go box to feed to my dog….He smelled it and ate the rolls and corn bread and left the Turkey and dressing slop in his plate. If I didn’t eat it and my dog didn’t eat it than why are Kelley’s places serving such bad foods …I’m surprised my dog ate the rolls because they had an old smell to them and the cornbread tasted like it had been sitting under the warmer forever or the waiter just took his time bringing us our dinner. I will never step foot in any place of theirs and will deter as many as I can from eating at these places. All restaurants are changing. For what they charge today and how we tip our servers they should stop doing what the vendors are telling them to do to gain more profit and listen to...
Read moreOn a Sunday morning, this place was busier than DFW at Thanksgiving, but there was still room for our family of 5. Honestly the floors were a little messy, but as quickly as a table was emptied and bussed, people were waiting to sit.(I for one hate when someone is trying to sweep up at a table next to me when I am trying to eat.) Kelley's has an incredible menu, both breakfast and dinner, as well as old school diner daily specials. The kids got Belgian waffles and burgers. They dug in as soon as the plates were set before them. The mushroom burger got the kid's mom vote, and my husband the breakfast sampler that had so much meat! I took a chance (after asking our server's advice) and opted for the liver and onions, navy beans, corn, and mashed potatoes. This was the best, most flavorful, tenderest liver I have ever had in sll my nearly 70 years. Days later I'm still wishing I had more and remembering its delicate flavors! The famous Texas size biscuit was tender and fluffy, and still a basket if yeast rolls and sweet cornbread ever present. You just can't say enough good thing about the food at Kelley's. Then there are pies and cakes, and homemade cobblers, baked fresh daily! We always order to go desserts because we aresated by the huge servings of food, but know we will regret it if we don't get our sweets. Today we opted for cakes. Spicy carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter, and a delicate delight, lemon poppyseed. Shout out also to our server, Fernando. He was attentive, helpful explaining menu items, giving the thumbs up to the liver and onions, even swooping in to save me from spilling hash browns all over myself. Great employees are hard to find and Fernando is definitely a treasure...
