Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in La Porte

Dec 30 ordered chicken called ahead of time so it would be ready I was speaking to a manager Jose… Asked for the price over the phone for exactly what I wanted…when I get to the restaurant ready to pay I was informed that it was a totally different price than I was quoted over the phone,The same manager that took my order told me that he gave me the wrong price over the phone… something that cost me $26.00 was now costing me almost $50.00 José had changed the price when I got to the window so I felt that I was getting cheated by a manager.. I was very upset so I asked him to fix the price because we was going to an event and expected the food to be ready and have the right price m…the manager José refused to work with me and told me that I had to pay his price me and my wife was very upset now we where going to be late because we had to order from another churches chicken 25 more...

On March 5 2021, a Friday, these guys were closed at 8:45 pm. I got out of work and googled that they were open until 10:00. I could see them inside cleaning, and one gentleman sitting by the door very busy on his cell phone. I guessed they were closed for dine in, but wanted to know if the drive thru was open. They didn't even pay attention to my knocking, so I called them on the phone, got the gentleman to tell me that the information on Google was wrong, that they actually closed at 9:00 pm, but as we were speaking it wasn't even 8:50 pm. I get that, as they serve mainly public from chemical plants, they assume that nobody will come after office hours, but they could have just given me a short answer. Instead, the three of them didn't even bother. I don't give them 0...

Hit or miss on this place. Food is ok. However, it seems that every time you go there, they have to make the entire order because nothing is made. Especially closer to closing time. They will tell you they are out of something instead.

And what is the deal when you order a 15 piece tender meal. They only give you 2 sauces? Then, charge you 30 cents each for extra. Seriously? That meal should, at a minimum, come with 4 at least. It is a meal large enough to feed 4 people. Nobody is going to sit and use 1 or 3 cups of sauce for 4 people. It's totally ridiculous. And today, they still dont have stuff in...
