Mountain Merman Brewing Company — Restaurant in La Veta

Best little brewery and eatery in town. Out of our one week stay we ate there three times, that should tell you how good their pizzas, their pretzels and the brews were because we ate selective when it comes to food and brews. Fun, friendly people, food was exceptionally good and came out faster than expected, pretzels were crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, right out of the oven. The pizza was exceptional we tried the Margarita, and the Deluxe. The brews were fantastic, refreshing and we took some with us before leaving town. Unfortunately the ‘take homes’ didn’t last long because they’re not a beer you want to save for later. So good. Well done Mountain Merman...

Update: A year later, this place is a favorite!! Great people, great beer, and always a great time. They’ve added some food items and cocktails to their menu so there’s something for everyone even if you’re not a beer person. They have a great patio and frequently have live music. Don’t miss this one!!

My friend and I visited this brewery while on vacation. I loved the atmosphere, decor, and the beer. I tried a local beer (88 the River) that was a very smooth, light lager. I tried MMB’s Brookside Blonde Ale that was crisp and delicious. The lady working behind the bar was very friendly and provided great service and advice on the beers to try.
