This was my first true experience with the incredible cuisine they refer to as Creole. Aside from my wife's Haitian cooking which is a bit different from the Louisiana interpretation.

The Creole Lunch is very unassuming I'm appearance, and easy to miss if you are not looking. Nestled on the side of the road, I noticed the sign and the grassy parking lot. The inside is literally the inside of a house, giving it welcoming appeal. The place is a local, family-owned establishment and it shows in the food and hospitality.

Now the matter of the food. It is bleeping epic! Everything I ate, and I ate half my weight in food, was delicious! The Jambalaya was spicy, savory, and teeming with flavor. As was the pork with dirty rice and collard greens. The food was so good, I ordered the Catfish Po Boy as a second entree and ate the whole damn thing. Needless to say it was life-changing. I left here full and sleepy. A meal I will remember for the...

I came in around lunchtime on a Friday afternoon because I wanted to try the stuffed bread the stuffed bread was okay and not seasoned enough. I also tried the red beans it was really dry and unseasoned with no flavor and not enough juice from the red beans on my plate. My fiancé had the pork chop it was really greasy, the mustard greens was unseasoned and bland, and he didn’t care for the red beans either. We had to wait 10 minutes for the rice and while waiting they tended to other guests in the drive thru which the wait was another additional 10 minutes and they also tended to other customers in line that came after us so I got frustrated and tired of waiting so long that I stepped outside until our food was ready. We will not ever return...

This is a nice lil place to pop inside or stay outside and sit at one of there tables with umbrella. Or if you perfer to go through the drive thru or they offer Door Dash for delivery. Really good food, great on the prices and you get a good amount of food. The Customer serivce is awesome, I got a lil lunch to go bag with stuff in it. So cute. I tried the Stuffed breads and yes there seasoned perfect, the bread is a melt in your mouth bread. Over all it's worth your time and money to stop by and check it out. Atmosphere inside is quite, unless it's lunch time. Your wait is not long 15 min during lunch rush , which is awesome if you ask me. I will definitely be back to try...

I love patronizing mom and pop plate lunch places. Small house style location, I had the meatball fricassee and the stuffed bread. When I think of Creole Lunch I expect bold flavors. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. As I ate the heat did build a little but as for flavor it was sort. I felt like I was eating at a retirement home cafeteria when no one can have salt. Apparently they aren’t fans of garlic either. Just bland. I was hoping to find a hidden gem but I don’t think this was my style. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good enough to return. Also, what kind of Creole restaurant has unsweetened tea but no southern sweet?

First créole experience and we are absolutely not disappointed!!! If you’re passing by Lafayette this is a must stop if you want to eat excellent food. The service was also great, and very affordable too. Best experience in Louisiana so far!
