Lucia | Bakehouse — Restaurant in Lafayette

Wow! Just Wow. I first heard about Lucia a few months back. I began stalking their Facebook page. If you have had a chance to glance at it you would know, JUST WOW!

The presentation is equally as amazing as the taste.

We first visited on a Wednesday, and the options were a little limited. That didn't stop us from trying a cinnamon roll, and a few other pastries. I am positive I licked the plate clean! I then went back on a Saturday, and wow. I brought 2 friends on the Saturday because I needed everyone I love to try it! We ordered 1 of 6 or 7 different items to all share and try! I can honestly say that the quality of these pastries have been the closest, I have had to some of my favorite bites & memories in Italy.

We then went again on a Thursday which I brought a new friend to try 😉 and we again licked the plate clean!

I have heard amazing things, but the quality has surpassed far, far, far, what I have heard or even thought for that matter.

I can't say I have a favorite item, because honestly it's all been 100%!

I can not wait to try...

i have been trying to make it to this place since seeing it on social media. I stopped by after work when they were closing at noon and rarely go out for lunch. Stopped by today and was happy to see they stay open til 4 now on some days. I am currently eating an apple fritter and i can't even describe how amazing it is. One thing i love about sweets outside of America is that they don't make them so sweet. This was crisp outside, perfect inside, subtle sweetness and just amazing. I cant wait to try everything. They have savory as well. IF i hadn't already picked up lunch i definitely would have tried the pastry that had a picture perfect sunny side up egg...

I recently visited and tried the lemon berry danish and a croissant, which were both delicious. However, the service was a letdown. Despite arriving during a quiet period, we weren't greeted promptly. As newcomers, we were hoping for some recommendations, but the staff seemed apathetic and unenthusiastic.
