Been coming here for years, still my most favorite place to get sushi in Lafayette! Truly authentic, and Mr Chen is awesome! Our favorite rolls are:
Elle Roll - snow crab paste, tempura shrimp, cream cheese topped with spicy salmon, jalapeño, eel sauce, seared
Hettie Roll - fried shrimp, jalapeno, cream cheese, snow crab, spicy mayo, all deep fried
Karen Roll - salmon, tuna, snow crab paste, avocado and smelt roe all wrapped with cucumber
Katherine Roll - snow crab paste, avocado and fresh salmon on top
Shrek Roll - spicy snow crab, avocado, tempura shrimp inside, blue crab meat & kiwi fruit with wasabi tobiko on top
Treasure Roll - spicy salmon, cucumber, and jalapeño with avocado, white fish and ponzu and Sriracha
True sushi gem tucked away in a shopping strip, but worth every wait and penny.

Read moreFirst time. Never heard of or would have ever found this place without Google. I searched sushi near my job and this came up. The door says take out only. Its a small old non fancy place that obviously focuses on the food only and the gentleman was very kind just making the sushi himself behind a regular wood counter like he was at home, so I had a feeling it was going to be good. It was. I went simple with the Calif roll and Shrimp tempura roll only because the website does not say what is in the others. He showed me how to find that online. I also had the eggplant/shrimp w/ miso. It really was what I would imagine eating at a friends home in Japan would be by a mom who's been making sushi all her life. I look forward to trying more rolls...
