Until I'm able to dine there again Mercy Kitchen gets an "It's Okay" 3 star review from me. Upon entering, we were greeted right away and sat within a few minutes. It was lunch time. We ordered a Charcuterie Board add Cauliflower Bread, The Hangover Salad, Hail Kail, and a couple of sides. The Charcuterie Board was a decent size. Our server didn't know what the cheeses were as far as describing them would go...we used Google to figure it out based on the names of the cheeses (that she had to go to the kitchen to find out). Personally, there were good things and things we all agreed were not to our liking on the board. So that's a matter of taste. The pickled veg was a hit for us all. The side veggie was Miso Carrots and those were delicious. The Hangover Salad was exactly that lol Personally, it's too heavy for me to eat alone but I enjoyed a few bites. Now to the Hail Kale...I wanted to love this but it is SOOOO greasy. They must take the kale leaves and deep fry them...everything under the first layer is inedible. So $2 edible and $5 so greasy you aren't interested in consuming it. It's also not something that can be dipped into Aioli. It breaks...it's a piece of fragile kale. We had no silverware to eat our food with and had to ask for it. I agree with other reviewers who said the music is LOUD. IT'S INSANELY AGGRESSIVE TO THE EAR DRUMS. I actually couldn't heard a word my server was saying 😐 and I have impeccable hearing. Anyway, it was okay not blow my mind great. We did really love the vibe going with the decor. Close $95 for lunch so a little disappointing that the food wasn't a total home run. HOWEVER, I would give it another...
Read more1st time coming through on 12/16/21, and I loved the ambiance of the place that evening (6ish). The dark-haired bartender was an awesome guy, along with waiter Matthew who was tipped generously.
AS FAR AS THE FOOD GOES--I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO EAT.
The Hallelujah Bread had nothing spiritually tasting happening with it--whatever was on top of the bread was absolutely disgusting. Maybe it was cottage cheese...but whatever that mixture was did not taste good at all. One bite and we were done.
The pork cuts on the appetizer? They were tasty, but they are just sautéed cracklin (small amout of meat and the rest is fat).
The burger was okay, but we left it on the plate, too. The fries? Why are these restaurants serving bullshyt fries that ketchup can't even fix? It is just a horrible stuffer.
The shrimp lettuce wrap was okay. Nothing I am dying to return to.
This establishment should just be a bar and forget making food altogether.
Yep...this is just my opinion. We contributed $144.00+ to the place out of trying items. I made another order to go because a friend of mine couldn't make it but wanted to try the food.
I really don't see this place making it if they don't revamp their menu. Folks will not like wasting money here when there are so many other better...
Read moreHonestly this place was highly disappointing. I am all about paying up for good food and a fun experience but the food here was terrible. I was excited to try my shareable, the shrimp lettuce wraps but they lacked any flavor or seasoning. For 17$ I was expecting them to be on point. My entree, I tried the hangover salad, which sounded different and something that I would enjoy. The hamburger steak was served well done( was told it would be medium) served over butter lettuce with bacon pieces, a couple fries on top and a Gouda cheese sauce. It was suppose to be served with avocado which it had non of. After trying, it made no sense to me and did not work. It was messy and flavorless. This entree was 18$ and I actually feel robbed. My friend who ordered the handheld short rib dip was also displeased. There was barely any meat on her sandwich and again lacked flavor. The fries were good and the wait staff were kind but that was my only positive take away. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things but if a restaurant is a great eatery then everything on the menu should be good. I would not recommend this place based on...
