Man today was disappointing, visiting today for our first time, parking lot is dilapidated, and building outdated, greens were so bad and they had sand traps on them, everyone was taking 2 putt greens. Service inside the Bunker was subpar (non pun intended) there was a older woman in there who clearly ran the show, never got her name, the crabbiest person I probably have come encountered in the last few years. Not a good idea to continue to have her as the face of the business, very off putting. Then while out on hole 2, we paid the beverage cart girl for 2 beers and she never gave them to us, we called and she said she’d bring um to us on hole 6 but she never did. Then later when back at the Bunker (club house) she confronted us and apologized after we explained what she had done, it wasn’t a big deal but if we give you cash and never get the drinks we paid for that’s kind of messed up. That same crabby woman tried to tell us we were wrong about this by the way.
Then, if it couldn’t get any worse, after we finished our 18 holes me and my husband and our friends were sitting at a table in the Bunker, cooling down and having food. Another worker (didn’t get her name) she brought over a lady to our table and this women apparently lived on hole 17 was accusing us of hitting a ball into our window. Which we definitely did not do. The fact that a worker brought this women over and straight up accused us right off the bat was the most unprofessional thing I think I’ve ever experienced. We will not be returning and I’m surprised this place is still in business based on the experience we went through today. Like wow….. no words after that. Only gave them 2 stars cause that girl came and apologized and the carts had gps and neat screens others wise this place is...
Read moreI played one year ago and the conditions were horrific. When told they had recently hired a new Golf Course Superintendent, I thought things would change. We recently went and played again to look at the improvements and there were none to be seen. Virtually every single green has multiple, massive areas of dirt, sand and algae. Many of the greens had nearly no grass whatsoever due to the massive algae problem. Once on the green, you actually need to move your ball to a different location in order to find a path to putt to the hole due to these areas that have no grass and are filled with sand. The tees looked as if they hadn't been mowed in three or four days, the fairways were the same. The roughs were in my estimate 2 ½ inches. If you're not in the fairway, you will need to spend a significant amount of time looking for your ball if you can even find it. The group I played with was extremely disappointed and one person even mentioned, if there's one golf course we don't want to come back to, it's this one. What a shame because many of these problems are so easily rectified. The attention to detail is lacking. It just seems as if the entire staff is complacent with the status quo. The saddest part of the entire experience, both a year ago and during my recent visit is being a retired Golf Course Superintendent, who has worked and consulted at multiple high-end private country clubs throughout the world, on multiple occasions, offered to help and recommend how they could improve their facility, virtually at no cost. Every time I offered I was quickly shunned because they have the attitude that they've got everything...
Read moreThis course is sad. 2-3 years ago this was one of my favorite courses in the Austin metro area. Quiet and beautiful, it had its flaws but it was still an amazing course for the price of around 35 bucks. Today was my first time playing in about 2 years, since they started to redo the greens on 9,18, and a few others. The greens at that point, while in the process of being redone, would be exponentially better than what is left now. All 18 need redone. Not a single fairway could be distinguished between the rough and every person working seemed to be on edge except the guy in the pro shop. Looking at you Mr. Starter, who seemed to have been wronged by anyone who pulled up to the first tee.
I used to love showing up at 7:30 to 8:00 for the first tee time, snag a taco and chat it up with whoever was there to open. It’s sad to see this course this way when it can be such an amazing course.
Please sell the course to someone who cares again or at least make some effort to fix one of the multitude of...
