The Bunker Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Lago Vista

I think I have to say this was the best and most memorable dining experience of my life, especially because of Phil and his wife Kassi. You might think this a bold claim but I have to tell you why. I called them a few days before my visit and asked if they could accommodate my girlfriend and I for valentines. A man named Phil answered the phone and couldn’t have been nicer. He said certainly and explained the valentines specials they had going. Then I went on a limb and asked if they might be able to light some candles and write out a message for me on some paper for my valentines. He kindly acquiesced. The time came for our dinner reservations and unfortunately we were 1.5 hours late. But they so super kind about it. Once we got there, I was blown away. They had everything I had asked for, PLUS a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table. And rose petals scatted around the table. turns out the the waitress, Kassi, before our shift, had gone out and gotten these flowers for us. They were really nice flowers. During the dinner, the cook, Phil, came out to ask us if everything was to our liking. Which the food was soo good. Best scallops I’ve ever had — melt in your mouth. So yes, yes it was. Me and my friend walked in. They said oh we’re busy right now we don’t have enough time to get you. French fries and drinks and there was clearly open tables and there wasn’t that many people and we said oh we don’t get just french fries and drinks we’re hungry. We just played basketball. and all we do is respectful things and we always get disrespected at this place and we’re not even that disrespectful to them always say yes ma’am no ma’am and clean up when we’re done I don’t know why we got kicked out and they think we’re just gonna order french fries that was disrespectful on their part. That really sucks that they can’t be nice to us and all we do is be nice to them and benefit their Restaurant so basically all we do is disrespected when we go in there basically, just go to the stay for food. They have good food, and they have good service...

We came in on a Wednesday for burger night. Food and atmosphere met expectations for a golf course clubhouse. Halfway through our time here we had to celebrate my birthday because I became a year older waiting for our order to be taken. Later on, I had tears running down my face in sadness as I had to stare down my 34.5 degree Fahrenheit beer as it sat stranded at the bar. After ten minutes I had to bring the IPA to safety by grabbing it from the bar myself. This place has potential, though the service was...
