Love this pizza but I constantly feel like I have to pry the customer service out of the employees. It is like pulling teeth. I live down the street but I will not be taking my family any longer. We love this pizza and called ahead for my two children's birthday party order, we love the garlic knots and they are never available so we called ahead and spoke to the manager Jeff to insure we could enjoy Lou eddies pizza on a day we were hosting 20-30 family and friends. He assured my wife she just needed to simply call the morning of the party and place her order and it would be honored to be picked up by 3pm. My wife called the morning of, as instructed by Jeff and spoke to the other self proclaimed female manager. She gave her order and pick up time and she told my wife she couldn't guarantee her order at any time and definitely couldn't guarantee garlic knots. After a lengthy explanation the female manager agreed to place the order stating "well I guess if Jeff said that then we have to okay". She told my wife it's impossible to guarantee by 3pm so she would shoot to have it ready by 2:45 pm and for my wife to arrive 15 minutes before 3. When my wife arrived at 3 she walking into every single employee sitting at the bar chit chatting, my wife said who she was and what she was there for and the friendly female manager said "We will get it started right now, what time is it? Exactly I told you 3pm". Needless to say the attitude and blatant disrespect left us contemplating to walk out on this order. Unfortunately they asked us to pay our total and then told us they would just start the order so there was no turning back. Yes the pizza was done shortly after 3, but that is hardly the point. Horrible taste left in our mouth from the management. The girl who rung us up was the friendlier than the manager. Staff needs to be retrained on customer service and it wouldn't hurt to meet the demand of customers for garlic knots with more available garlic knots. One star for a horribly...
ย ย ย Read moreWe were highly recommended to LouEddies by our AB&B. The parking is a pain because it's limited to the side of the road. You have to wait for someone to leave to park. I'm not sure if there is additional parking anywhere else. The restaurant has very limited seating inside. It is a small and cozy seating. They did state they had bar and patio seating on the lower level. Not in the winter are we sitting outside. The bar was out of the question because I had my grandson in his stroller. We made it on time before the dinner rush. It is non-stop busy. Since we were in the mood for pizza and highly recommended, we waited the 1 hour and change for our food. We ordered 3 pizzas, a cesars salad, and fountain drinks. It was pricey. About $90 in food. The lettuce in the salad was wilted. The Parmigiano cheese looked like plastic. The cesar dressing had a good flavor. It had plenty of croutons. The fountain drinks were flat. The pepsi tasted like a combination of all the fountain drinks combined. We ordered 3 pizzas and 1 all pepperoni. Pepperoni, mushrooms, and jalapeรฑos. The other pepperoni and jalapeรฑos. The all pepperoni had plenty of meat. The pepperoni and jalapeรฑos had a few fresh jalapeรฑos. Which my daughters liked better than the typical pickled ones. You have to eat the pizza quick otherwise it loses its slight crisp. It gets soft after it cools down. The pizza is yummy. Reminds me of a New York pizza from the thin dough slight pizza sauce and good meats. They only had 1 size and 8 slices in a pie. They dont have many options in appetizers. No wings. It definitely was pricey. But that's expected to eat out up in the mountains. I wouldn't go back. 1. It's definitely overpriced, and 2. I'm not sure what made me sick from what I ate. I was in the bathroom all night after we ate there. It could have been food poisoning. I'm blaming the salad, but it could have been...
ย ย ย Read moreDear Lou,
After camping in the desert for four days, living off of S.P.A.M and peanut butter, myself and my three friends were overly excited to eat some real food. The excitement of our car was palpable as we drove through the new and strange town of Skyforest. The fog was so dense that we could hardly see more than 10 feet in front of the car, but we were not deterred from our journey of an actual sit-down meal. The hype between the four of us would have been difficult for any food establishment to live up to.
Our experience at Lou Eddieโs, however, exceeded every wild expectation we had set before us. Walking into the ordering area, we immediately realized that we had found a gem for travelers and locals alike. The man the register even jested with me about my donned college beanie and inquired about our origins, stating his support for Fresno state. After advising and taking our orders, to our he pointed us downstairs to the Saloon area. There we found a full-service bar, and extremely homey tables. To our delight, live music was a part of our dining experience that night.
The pizza was fantastic, and we each ate an entire pizza along with a serving of garlic knots. But even better was the staff. We felt welcomed as though we were local regulars, even though we were strangers from the other side of the country. The atmosphere was that of a family gathering, and we could not have been happier with our choice to stop. Lou even came by our table to give us the proper steps of reheating leftover pizza, although there was none for us to take home.
Thank you for such an in inviting and gracious experience. We cannot recommend Lou Eddieโs Pizza...
