⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars — Worth Every Mile to Lulu’s Snocones in Lake Charles, LA
I drove 750 miles from Tennessee just to try Lulu’s snocones in Lake Charles, Louisiana — and let me tell you, they were 100% worth the trip.
If you're in Lake Charles and looking for the ultimate summer treat, Lulu’s is the spot! We tried their Strawberry Jubilee and Banana Pudding Shake snocones, and both were absolutely fantastic.
The Strawberry Jubilee is everything you want in a fruity snocone — bold strawberry flavor, just the right hint of tartness, and a creamy icecream center that makes it feel like a frozen strawberry dream. Light, refreshing, and totally addictive.
Then there’s the Banana Pudding Shake Snocone — pure nostalgia! It tastes just like real banana pudding, with creamy vanilla, ripe banana, and a soft Nilla wafer vibe, all served icy cold. It’s rich, smooth, and seriously delicious.
Both are creative, flavorful, and made with care. The texture of the ice is perfect, the syrups are top-notch, and the flavor combinations are spot-on. Pair that with friendly service and a fun local vibe, and you’ve got a 5-star experience.

Location: off the road and difficult to notice! You may drive right past. Located near goodwill. Gps should take you there. Location is the only downfall to this place.
Service: drive thru style. Very friendly. If the line is long, they have workers taking orders and passing out menus to help the line move quickly.
Atmosphere: small snowcone shack. welcoming and fun.
Flavors: There are so many different combos and specials. Our favorites are Butterbeer (butter scotch), stuffed green apple, and black cherry. They have also attempted to make requested flavor combos (i.e., Bomb Pop flavored snowcone). Their specialties may include candy (cotton candy, gummies, etc) on top. All of your classic flavors and more! Sometimes, they have seasonal flavors added.
Other food: nachos, pork sandwich, hot dogs, pickles, etc.
Prices: reasonable! If you're going for your basic snowcone, I'd say $2-7, depending on the size you get. Specials are closer to $9. They do have a point system you can sign up for to eventually get a discount/free snowcone.

Read more"Specialty Snocones" makes you think about bursting flavors & extra toppings. I think about the flavors you would combine in your head when you were younger and your parents would say "Don't even think about it". Well they thought about it. And they did it. And I think about concession stand food; Frito pies, nachos, pickles, etc. And you definitely get all of that when you stop by. But what you probably aren't expecting when you pull in is everything else that makes Lulu's special. The staff is extra friendly will answer any & every one of your questions, and they'll make suggestions for you also. But my favorite part is the story behind Lulu's. It's the same story of all of SWLA since Hurricane Laura; adapt and overcome. I could tell you how they initially opened just weeks before the strongest hurricane hit our area in over a hundred years. I could tell you how since opening up after Hurricane Laura hit, they have been a beacon of light in a dark 18+ months. I could tell so you so many other great things, but you should stop in on your own and ask for the owner Ashley. And then let her...
