Our first outing in the pandemic. We sat in a lovely outdoor seating area, with only a few employees around. No other guests, and several ceiling fans kept the air moving. Our lunch was lovely, tasty and fresh. The salsa was pretty generic, but we still ate it all. Tasty drinks, and out the door for forty bucks including tip. 2022 Update: We return here regularly. Tasty drinks, and an updated menu offering choices we don't always see. This week we tried a chicken and chorizo mix, and a sampler quesadilla (both wonderful). The biggest treat was the Mexican street corn. Salsa's version was a little less messy than many, but wonderfully tasty. Caution though - It's roasted to order, and ours came out after our entrees. We still ate every bite. We had already downed two by when I thought to grab a picture. (You get four little ears). Service was excellent as usual. 2023 update - still a favorite stop. We've been feeling the drink prices were getting too high, but this time (about 330p I think), they had a $2.99 house margarita on happy hour, which I think ends at 4p. Meanwhile, we had the Piña Mexicana, and street corn. With extra tortillas and two 'ritas, we were nipping at $50 with tip.

We were just traveling through back home to Tampa. We were actually looking for a different Mexican restaurant when we found Salsas. From the reviews on here we were intrigued on how good it could be. This food spoke to my soul. The Mexican Dos Amigos was the perfect combination of Chile Colorado and Chile Verde. We also got some of the street tacos “Mexican style”. They were fantastic. We own a taco truck called “The Taco Junkie” and eat a lot of Mexican food. I’ll tell you this is the closest to traditional Mexican food I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. We will be making it a point to stop by and eat every time we pass through from now on. What a delightfully fun place with delicious food. The portions are also more than generous!! Be prepared to have a great time and leave stuffed - really! We enjoyed the food so much we kept saying, one more bite( don't do it).lol. The atmosphere was also fun ...a great place to eat and hang with friends any night of the week. I was crazy about the guacamole, but it was fresh, and I appreciated that. It was fine with my food and I'd still order it again. I also appreciated that they had plenty of vegetarian and pescatarian options to choose from! We will return again next time we are in Lake City.

Went here with my family. The mother of my daughter was here before and said she loved the food. I wanted to go to La Fiesta, but I was down to try something new.

I immediately did not like the ambiance. It doesn't feel warm and inviting. It feels irritating and drab.

The food was okay. I did not find it exceptional or better than La Fiesta.

The birthday singing is loud and obnoxious. There were three while we were there. It would have been nice to not have had to experience people screaming while I'm relaxing and attempting to enjoy a meal.

The hostess was weird and completely ignored me when we approached the counter when I said hello. This seemed rude. She was friendly to my baby momma though. The whole service staff seemed obsessed with her and ignored everything I said the whole time. It was bizarre to me.

She is pretty but the staff could learn to give attention to the whole party. It was difficult to make requests and get what I wanted. The waitress barely acknowledged me. We asked for waters. Only my baby momma got one.

I asked for a small plate for my baby, which was difficult to get the waitress attention because she was obsessed with my baby momma; she ignored me. So I repeated my request at the end of their conversation, and she gives me a large dish for me, not the baby. 🙄. Normally restaurants give a plastic or paper plates for babies.

So now I'm constantly taking the plate away so my daughter doesn't throw it on the floor. I should have just let her.

Many members of the staff came over to our table to talk to the mother of my child. They ignored everything I said when I tried to join the conversation. It was not a good feeling especially when I'm picking up the bill at the end of the night.

At the end of the night she gave us the wrong bill, she switched it to the right one, and then she didn't come back to pick up the bill, which I found to be inconsiderate.

I had to awkwardly pay at the counter. The hostess that ran my card did not give me privacy when I was filling out the tip. She was breathing down my neck.

As I was calculating the tip math in my head, she noticed that I went to look at the original bill and she repeated the final total to me. I'm not sure why she did that but I would have appreciated some space.

I always tip well but the waitress did nothing impressive. I felt more aggravated than entertained. So I wish I left less of a tip.

Honestly, I wished I had just walked out. They would not have noticed and I feel like they would have deserved it.

I would not go back here. There are better options. I didn't find anything worth a return visit during...

We tried the new Mexican restaurant Salsas tonight in Lake City. They've only been open 9 days so far but had a restaurant full of customers.

Here's my honest review.. Our waitress Destiny was very sweet and attentive. The service we received is a different story. I ordered a steak burrito with nothing but refried beans and queso and of course the steak. My wife ordered the beef burrito and chicken quesadilla and my kids had chicken tenders. When the waitress brought out my burrito it had lettuce, red sauce and many other things on it, however, I requested for none of that to be on there. The waitress brought my wife out a wrong order (an enchilada instead of the quesadilla.) Last but not least my kids chicken tenders were hard as a rock.

We let our waitress know and she took our food back to the kitchen. When she brought it back out everything was fine except now my burrito had guacamole and red sauce still on it... So the waitress took it back to the kitchen a second time and had the manager come over and speak with us. The manager apologized and gave me a percentage off my burrito. By the time I got my burrito how I wanted it the kids and my wife had already finished eating so I ate a couple of bites and boxed the rest up to take home.

I asked the waitress if they were having any problems and she stated the kitchen staff and management dont really speak great english so it's hard for them to communicate orders.

Though the service wasn't great I understand that when a restaurant first opens they're going to have issues that's why we don't usually visit a place until a month or so after they open. Overall I give the experience a 2 out of 5 and probably won't be back for awhile.

The food had a great taste and the price was reasonable for the portion we received on our plates. I wouldn't recommend visiting at this time but I'll review and try Salsas again in the future and let you all know if they've...

This place has the worst customer service of any restaurant I've ever been to in Lake City. For a restaurant named "Salsas" they're incredibly stingy with their salsa. Even when the customer is WILLING to pay extra. I deliver for Doordash and my customer's togo order included 3 orders of chips and salsa. And she had a special instruction for the salsa to be put in 2 large cups. The manager (I'm assuming by her terrible and immediately argumentative attitude) came over and point blank said they couldn't do that. With my 15 years of actual customer service experience, I tried to find a solution and asked how many orders would need to be placed to get the two large cups of salsa. She said $12 worth. So a whole $3 more than what my customer was going to pay. I called the customer and she asked how much she would get for the $9 she already paid. The manager calculated and told me it would be one large cup and one normal side. The customer agreed. When the order was ready, it only had one large cup and no side. I tried to talk to the manager again, and she said that's 20oz and all it is coming with. I tried to remind her what she told me and my customer while I was on the phone earlier. She still said that is it. I, at this point, was over her attitude and done arguing over SALSA for a PAYING customer. So I made a comment that they were going to end up losing this customer over some salsa. The manager then accused me of threatening her... and demanded my full name. Which, no. There's no business that requires employees or independently contracted employees to give their full name. Too many stalkers these days. But here's my whole name if you're reading any of my reviews. I have also informed DoorDash of the TERRIBLE customer service and lack of willingness to make your customers happy. Smaller issues have permanently shut down places in this town. Bad service and poor reviews...
